As much as I don't like Tom's lyrics now, he does provide us a lot of material

 

If Blink has a song even borderline similar to this, I'll go bananas:

 

I'm at work and can't listen, so I'm just gonna assume it's a cover of the Kanye song.

 

I love the Sekrets stuff. I would like some +44/Sekrets/Heavens styles on this blink record.

 

I think that combo is inevitable.

 

The latest Sekrets album was so bad, the first one was definitely enjoyable, but very much a generic and lifeless version of Alk3, if I were bein honest here

 

I thought so too at first, but I love the Kuts record now. It really grew on me.

 

I like Kutz, but I love Babylon. I love Matt's popper side, I hope he brings that to the new Blink record.

 

Double post, but how much freedom do you guys think Travis and Mark gave Matt on the album?

 

"How the Hell Did We Get Here" was turned into a Sekrets song, but I prefer the version Alkaline Trio played at their live shows a while ago. I would be stoked if something like that turns up on the blink record

 

No man. This song along is like one of the best things Skiba has done:

 

I mean, I think this song is good, but it's honestly feels like Skiba by the books to me. Musically there's nothing to get excited about. I really don't think it's anywhere near the "best things" he has done

 

I don't mind the Sekrets stuff, but I would prefer if the Blink record sounded nothing like that.

 

What would you list as some of the best things he has done ?

 

The entirety of Good Mourning, a fair spattering of all Alk3 albums after except This Addiction, the Kevin Seconds Split, that's a good start

 

I agree with all of this, I thought some of his best stuff was on Agony besides " Live Young, Die Fast ". I think it's safe to put " Sadie " as a top Matt song for sure.

 

Agree on both of those. I'll always be a big Agony & Irony supporter as well, I dig most that album.
