Fuck. I need to publicly display my age now so I don't get lumped in with them.

  2. Largest in what way? Ticket sales? I have a hard time believing they'll sell more tickets in 2016 then they would have between 2000 - 2004, but I would love to be proven wrong.

    Things have changed.

You said "cool riffs", which are way different than iconic. Granted people misuse iconic all the time, but the riffs can still be cool.

  4. Rufio did have some awesome guitar work.

    Dig the new track!

Only thing I noticed is it's the second song with "OoOoOoOo's" in it so I don't blame Tom for that stuff anymore lol.

  7. Top songs from 8 years ago ... when you were 15.

1 Flo Rida feat. T-Pain Low
    2 Leona Lewis Bleeding Love
    3 Alicia Keys No One
4 Lil Wayne feat. Static Major Lollipop
    5 Timbaland feat. OneRepublic Apologize
6 Jordin Sparks feat. Chris Brown No Air
    7 Sara Bareilles Love Song
8 Usher feat. Young Jeezy Love In This Club
    9 Chris Brown With You
    10 Chris Brown

Here's the top 100. There's hardly a handful ... you gotta go back to 2002/2003 to start seeing them appear with regularity.

I would love a Rufio riff ala "Angel Above Me" or "Still" on this record.

Yeah the ticket sales are really, really strong so far. And the radio ads they have/got when BTD kicked off were largely impressive. What's interesting is that they added multiple East Coast and West Coast shows after the first ones sold out..in a day or less -- that's a big difference from the two reunion tours (which you imagine would have been larger than this current tour without a leading member).

I need to go back and listen to Anybody Out There because I didn't dig into it as much as their older stuff, but Little World was such a killer intro.

Does anyone know where to get the free download of Rabbit Hole if you already pre ordered the album?

If there is only one negative about those two (or three if you count that naked dudes song) that are out there is that I haven't had enough Skiba yet. Really hope there are some tracks that really let his unique vocal style through. And apologize if this has been said before in this thread.

It felt pretty lacking to me, not a bad album but it definitely didn't ever grab me like their previous albums.

I'm very confused, is there a new stream going on right now or are they just playing pre-recorded stuff here?

  22. It's just funny cause everyone is dealing with survivorship bias here. Well OF COURSE it's iconic cause it's the only one I know from a time period ... and then anyone over 30 can name hundreds if not thousands of guitar riffs from that era in pop-punk, let alone going to the radio and stuff from Nirvana, RHCP, 311, to Eve 6, to Linkin Park, to 3EB, Muse, White Stripes, to, hell, Lit and Stroke 9.

Side-bar, "Seven Nation Army" has to have the most recognizable guitar riff in the past 15 years at this point.

Having non-power chord guitar parts does not automatically equal having "stand out" guitar parts.
