Did they also meet fans after shows, or was the fan club the only way to meet them?

I think he probably realizes there are natural evils, if you want to call it that, to being in a big business like Blink's. It's a great opportunity but he might not agree with all of the trappings that come along with it. It's like the drummer of Fall Out Boy being an anarcho-primitivist but still playing in a band that never passes up the opportunity to do corporate things—or even go to the White House. Gotta make a living somehow!

Ooooh here's a fun idea. I'm at work and don't wanna procrastinate on my job THIS much, but someone edit the track name for BTD to Rabbit Hole and send Travis a snap of you listening to it.

 

I would have loved if Dan had a guest vocal/backing vocal appearance on California.

 

Yeah, they almost always came out after shows as well. It was never very hard to meet them, they made themselves pretty accessible. The only time it was harder to catch them was during the past live tour, but even then I didn't personally have a problem, but Matt recognized me by then and walked up himself so. And I just figure he's doing them because he's under their management now and they've been doing them since before he was there so he's just going with the flow.

 

Haha this is a pretty funny idea. Would have been better to do it yesterday.

 

I forgot my headphones today so I guess I'm going to go out to my car during the song premiere and pretend I left something in there for 3 minutes.

 

The M&Gs are actually a pretty new development for Blink, if I recall correctly. On the Honda Civic Tour (or maybe it was the reunion tour), Tom did a solo M&G where the proceeds went to a breast cancer charity and you got an art print from him. Don't know if Mark and Travis weren't into the M&G idea or what.

Then I think they did them for the Untitled anniversary shows, but that might have just been soundcheck access. Can't remember. Certainly new territory to do it for an entire tour, regardless. I'm not a huge fan of structured M&Gs because it's just an assembly line operation and there's no time to actually really talk to anyone.

I did it then too whenever I saw it had leaked! I had headphones that day but I didn't want anyone disturbing me. Whenever Pvris premiered "You and I" I had brought my headphones and of course my boss doesn't talk to me the whole day except for 2 minutes before the premiere so I was internally freaking out haha!

 

Ah, I've also seen Travis offering them on his own as well, and with the Blink ones I've seen, I just thought it was something they'd been doing regularly since the reunion.

Oh, you're right. I forgot he did them as Musink. Mark was the holdout!

 

He does them for his Vegas shows as well.
