Matt is so on point in those acoustic videos. Cannot wait for Rabbit Hole tomorrow.

 

Side note - anyone going to the Vegas show(s) next month?

 

I love that as the performances are coming along, both Mark and Matt are finding their voices. It's amazing, I love it.

 

Shouldn't the second acoustic show info be coming in soon ?

 

That could be amazing. They could make it so fun(ny). I'd want Mark to be the Mad Hatter and just laugh uncontrollably in every scene, haha.

Glad to see there are a handful of Ex Machina fans in the thread

Here's what Feldmann said on the podcast about Rabbit Hole:

"I don't know why, 'Rabbit Hole' keeps entering my mind. Whenever Travis would ask me what my favorite song was I would say 'Rabbit Hole.' It's so simple, and it's so blink, and when Travis turned the snare drum to be on 'the 1,' that was alllll the icing I needed. Is it the best song on the record, probably not? But I can't wait to hear it live. That one and 'Cynical" are like, all-timers."

 

Mark said during a recent podcast that this song was one that they busted out pretty quickly. It just came together pretty easily. Lyrically, he said the song is about standing your ground. Don't know much more than that.

 

Complaining about the complaining about Tom. Please someone complain about the complaining about the complaining about Tom. We need this meta so bad.

 

Like how Alice did against everyone in Wonderland. The video writes itself!

 

Referencing that drum beat comment that Feldy said (changing the snare to be on 'the 1'), I would guess it's similar to the chorus to "Baby Come On" but with a faster tempo.

Other than that, I can't tell if the videos appearing on Instagram are from the first or second show because they're the same songs. So there's that.

 

Dammit, I hope it's that good! I love that song.

 

Rabbit Hole video treatment :
You cast Travis's friend Jayme Fox as Alice. She's being held captive by mad hatter and his mind control device. Sitting at the table are a bunch of zombies in suits. TV screens in background start from static to blink performance footage. The music makes her fight the mind control , stand her ground and escape The Mad Hatter.

PS: Guys! I think I'm going to go to the Travis Barker signing in LA on Friday before the Matches show! I mean, he and I are practically best friends now so it only makes sense that I visit my friend, right?! ha just kidding.

 

First Date is a fun song, I'm glad it's in their set.

 

We still need to hear the album though. One good single doesn't make a record

Gotta appeal to the fans in the lawn section who only ever listened to the singles. If it was up to me, they'd scrap First Date forever.

 

They don't do "Adam's Song" because of the DJ Adam situation. They retired it after his death.

 

I hate myself for only buying lawn seats for this upcoming tour... ugh. I'm gonna get there so early just to ensure that I get as close as I possibly can in the lawn section so no fuckers are in my way and so I can forget that I'm in the lawn section for a Blink-182 show because that depresses me, haha.

 

I don't think "dick move" is the right term for it but I don't think it fits Matt's vibe that well. Not that he has to be Mr Serious all the time or anything since so many of blink's songs are light hearted but it's kinda weird since it's just SO teenagey and childish.
