None of the Brand New albums have quite clicked for me

 

For the record, Travis did not drum on the single version of Dammit. Pretty sure the drum fill is just from a different take of Scott's. Also that version and the single edit of Josie were remixed and remastered by Tom Lord-Alge

 

Right that's what I heard, the single was released before Travis joined. Cool info about the mixing, the single version is so much better.

 

Pretty sure that's grounds for a perma-ban on this forum.

 

I'm not crazy about Brand New either

 

My favorite version of dammit has also been the mark Tom and Travis show version. Has more punch to it. And it's faster

 

One of my friends in high school thought the words to dammit were "My kid sister's growing up". Haha.

Dropping in on the hype train, here. I got my partner into some punk recently, and she has really taken to Alkaline Trio. Miitomo asked her who her favorite male singer is, and she answered Matt Skiba, so it's cool to see her getting as hyped as I am, and she still has both blink and Alk3's whole catalogs to go back and discover.

 

had a hyper vivid dream last night that I got to work and the new single dropped. woke up incredibly disappointed that it was just a dream, then thought I might be special and this could be a premonition. Now I'm here and know that I'm A. not special enough to receive premonitions in my dreams and B. there's no new Blink

I'm wondering though, what if April 28 is the release for all radio stations and the 26th is the premiere of the song streamed on KROQ/Beats 1? Then up for download on Friday 4/29

Decided to listen to the Self-Titled this morning. Always felt that this was such a romantic album.

 

I listened to a lot of Cheshire Cat this morning. Still love that album.

 

I read this just after finishing all of Cheshire Cat, haha. I hadn't listened to it in a long time and enjoyed it quite a bit.

 

My favorite album of all time. I actually only listen to it once a year because I feel like I killed it listening to it so many times. I'll listen to stray songs when they come on in shuffle though.

I listen once a year on my birthday in full. Always makes me happy.

Actually, I posted about it last year and Mark wished me a happy birthday.

 

It really is one of the best. I always want to write up a piece about how they went from dick/fart/sex/gay jokes to actually writing something so tragically romantic. It's weird how well they could describe what it feels to be in love and heartbreak.

 

I'd be interested in reading anyone's personal connection with the album. you should definitely share if you decide to put it on paper
