What's the difference between the Dammits?

The vocals are pretty different too.

 

I did not know that Barker drummed on the 2nd version of dammit.

 

I didn't even know that there was a 2nd version of Dammit.

 

I thought the only differences were to make Mark "yell" a bit less.

 

Where do I get this version?

 

For realz? Is it noticeable? I just halfheartedly youtube searched but can't find a "single version" or radio edit or whatever.

 

Honestly, I have no idea lol. I just remember reading that a while back.

I think the version on the Greatest Hits version may have Marks vocals being less shouty, but I'm not 100% sure on it.

 

You know what I would kill for? I would have loved an EP or something, post-Travis, where the trio re-imagined Cheshire Cat and Dude Ranch with their modern song writing sensibilities.

 

That would be amazing.

 

I don't. Not missing anything though, I don't think anything was different but the production was a lot thinner. Was kind of hard to listen to honestly.

 

There's a small drum roll right before the whole band kicks it - it's the single version.

 

I've never heard / seen this. Where can I find it? I've never heard a non-live version of travis doing drums on dammit.

 

The single version of dammit is just the one that they used for the music video - I'm watching / listening right now and besides the little drum roll I think I can notice a bit less of a "yell" to the way he sings... but it could all be in my head.

I remember someone I knew back in the day thought "Feeling This" was a religious based song and they thought the lyrics were: "faith fell short this time"

 

What did they think about the music video ?

 

Not sure if they ever saw it lol.

 

Dammit has two different version and they have clear differences. Drums are different, Mark's voice is different and the guitars are mixed differently. The first is obviously on Dude Ranch and you can hear the other one of Greatest Hits.

Any news from that Collectors' Group on Facebook? I tried to get in and they obviously didn't allow me haha.

 

I don't which I'm more curious to hear, this or brand new.

I know BN will stick with me much longer, but I'm really curious to hear a proper blink release too. Untitled was such a great record, and I've forgotten what it's like to have a blink album like that again.

 

This will be the first blink album with two vocalists who can properly pronounce words.
