Yeah, they might release one before they play x-games, which i think is in the beginning of June.

 

Anyone else have pics from their first blink show? 9/1/01. That 13 year old turd in the middle is me.

 

I don't have any photos, but I guarantee you I was wearing a Hurley shirt, Dickies shorts, and had my hair in a mohawk.

The discussion about Blink gaining mainstream success again can be a bit tiring. I for one do not really care. I'm just happy that they continue being relevant and that there are both 14 and 40 year olds going to their shows. However, i noticed somewhat of a pattern regarding the releasing of singles. All The Small Things, First Date and I Miss You have all been the second single released from their respective albums, and arguably also their most successful songs. (This can also be seen in the cases of other bands, for example Green Day's 21 Guns was much more successful than Know Your Enemy)

Does this mean anything for California? I don't know. Probably not. The singles are never my favorite songs from their album, but it is atleast intriguing to think that the most polarizing stuff from the new record is yet to come.

 

It has more lyrics then a mainstream pop song!

The San Diego date just sold out.

 

Everything feels so genuinely happy and sincere for blink.

The social media presence is there too which makes me happy. We never really got updates from their outlets before.

 

Running through Cheshire Cat while I watch some playoff hockey. Definitely forgot how good it is.

 

Cheshire Cat is great and I think it actually sounds pretty good considering the time it came out.

 

Timing and the fact that they were on an independent label, which back then made a big difference.

 

I don't like all of Cheshire but M+Ms, Carousel, Wasting Time, Peggy Sue, and TOUCHDOWN BOY! are jams. Would be so dope if they did one of those (besides Carousel which they almost definitely will) live again.
