I think there are actually sort of a few throwback sounds in it. Probably all done on purpose. I kind of get what that one dj meant about BTD being a greatest hits rolled up into one song.

 

Their base player Charles Trippy has a huge fan base from you with over 1.5 million subscribers. The only reason they still have a fan base is because of him.

 

Oh yeah. Forgot about that, heh. It's been so long since they were on my radar. Their last three albums sucked.

 

I liked their first album (and even that only skyway avenue and check yes Juliet really). They fell off my radar after that.

 

There are some pretty good songs on that first album. To be honest, I still really like Smile Kid, though I rarely listen to it anymore. After that, they seemed to run out of ideas and just fell off.

I liked Heaven Can Wait on that album but the rest just didn't do it for me

 

IMO, they did a really good job of making their sound more poppy but still writing really good, catchy melodies. Just a shame about where they went after.

 

I love how well BTD is sitting after the honeymoon phase that was the first week. This album is going to surpass my expectations going into this year, I feel.

 

I feel the same way. I remember being stoked on "Up All Night" upon its release, but it fizzled out within a day or two. BTD on the other hand is just as enjoyable now as it was a week ago and I've pretty much had it on repeat.

 

I was kinda opposite on Up All Night, didn't like it very much as the lead off single and I've only really come around on it in recent years.

 

Yeah BTD is still on repeat for me as well. Its just so damn catchy. And I'm hearing it on the radio a decent amount too so far so that's also a plus.

 

if anyone successfully did the "only listen to BTD 3 times" challenge, i applaud you. i've listened to it at least 20 times.

 

I'm not sure if this was posted but I thought it was pretty cool from an instrumentals standpoint.

 

I can honestly say that I'm not even going to click on any more "what if Tom was still in blink" videos.

 

I may make that second image the album artwork.

It's just added instrumentals and some AVA sounding guitar.

 

If Tom was still in blink, the song either wouldn't exist because he wouldn't be working on it or it would sound exactly like everything else he's released in the last decade. There. Question = answered.

any more info on the livenation presale today? either COVERT or FRONTROW are the codes right? anyone know if they have to be in all caps?

I was trying to hold out from listening, but it's been well over 25 times. This is why I need the album sooner cause I know I'm gonna Wear this song out. I remember doing that with Still Waiting by Sum 41.. I listened to it about 5 times a day until DTLI? Came out.
