    I am a haunted house. I'm superstitious.

Some friends of mine told me the animation is really good, and I do believe it is. The 'Love' movie had a good plot, but I don't think it delivered as promised. Still, all credit to Tom and his crew for trying different things. Too bad they got in the way of blink and his relationship with the band.

  2. That's cool! I got one from Chris/STD once. Lost it though :(

    How I read that:

I got an STD from Chris one time.

  5. How do you get a pre sale code ? I've never gotten tickets through a pre sale.

  6. If you did a pre-order through the official Blink store, it sounds like they will be emailing you a code today that you can use for pre-sale access to the upcoming tour. The question is -- is everyone getting the same code, or their own random/unique code that can only be used once?

  7. I didn't order any pre orders, so I assume that's the only way to get the pre sale code ?

That's a bummer. I got one of Ryan's from Yellowcard a few years ago too. They played my college and my friends and I were the only ones super hyped about it. He handed the pick down to me after the set. I've been pretty lucky haha.

God this band is doing it all over for me again...I'm sure many can relate to older siblings helping them out to start thier blink craze...

My love for the band is due to having an older sister who dated a dude who was into Skateboarding and Snowboarding and was in Cali quite often visiting family even though we all lived in Indiana, resulting in having "good taste" in music. The first time I ever heard blink was in my sister's camaro on the way to our family's lake cottage in Michigan with her and her boyfriend, ironically this is where I would also hear Enema and TOYPAJ for the first time and when "Felling This" was labeled "Action" on Madden, we burned it to a CD and listened to it out on the boat on the water over and over trying to figure out the lyrics and then of course...."up all night" was also jammed for the first time at this location but it was a VERY anti climatic listening party with friends tuning into KROQ- so its basically my favorite place in the world growing up and still is today....

Back to the first time hearing them, when my sister turned it on it was like this wave hit me - I was only 10 years old and Dude Ranch was taking over my body. It was like what @Jason Tate had said about it being music for me. It was a connection I had never felt. The next summer Enema came out and I remember the day my sister brought it home - she drove me around in her car around the lake so I could hear it and eventually bought a second copy once summer ended because I was constantly stealing hers to listen to it on the bus on the way to school. From that moment on I can remember where I was when I listened to every next Blink album: the time the place...everything it was like a child was being born haha.

What I love about BTD is that the first time I heard it, I was with my wife. I've never been married when I hear new blink for the first time, I was either just a kid or with all my friends. So the other night my wife and I just left dinner and my buddy sent me the link and before i played it I said to her, "I will remember this moment for the rest of my life, so please, please do not ruin it for me."

I can go on and on with all the shows I've been to and everything - typing this post up makes me want to dig through my memorabilia stuff later today.... I just moved houses and would love to filter through it all and share some cool stuff I've gathered over the years

My old Blink story: Back in 06 when Mark was doing press for +44, I got to do a phoner interview with him for like 20 minutes. It was pretty sweet. We talked mostly about The Descendents and his original stance about not playing Blink material. At the end we arranged to meet up for a high five after the show, but my grandfather died the next day so I missed the show. I still have the ticket and backstage pass unopened in a shoebox somewhere. I also have his old tour managers number still in my phone, but they don't work together anymore.

sounds like it's gonna be unique to everyone who did the preorder :-/

"Bundle comes with exclusive unique code to purchase presale tickets for the blink-182 North American tour"

haha I guess the only way we'd for sure figure it out is sharing what code they gave us and going by the honor system that no one else would use it first. Or just share after you've already ordered tix.

I'm glad Tom is taking time off social media so he doesn't have to see all this ugliness.

I'm convinced there's no better blink hangout than here. The rest are just imitators.

I guess the avatar for @SlappinCups was foreshadowing all along and not so much a Blink nod. See you in the next life brother.

  21. for sure. we're definitely the most level-headed group and ACTUAL fans. so many people on Reddit are like, "Do you think Matt will sing Tom's parts? Will they still play First Date???" that kind of shit... a bunch of amateurs haha!

The overarching theme through all of this for me is that they all just need to collaborate or have a producer to have some form of outside input to make good music. Tom's solo music has always had potential in my eyes, but there are just things about it that are way too repetitive and never distinguishes itself as feeling "new". He recycles the same chords, melodies, and lyrics way too much. Mark and Travis are slightly better about this, but Neighborhoods still suffered from lack of collaboration.

The big red flag to me is that (as far as I know), Tom has not really collaborated with anyone, used a producer, or been featured on anyone else's music in the last decade or more outside a couple of examples. That is astounding. I think that is pretty telling about how difficult it is to work with him, creatively. I'm not sure if he just believes that no one else's ideas are as good as his or what.

His work with Ilan has been the only thing that sounded unique out of AvA's history, in my opinion. So I would never say that Tom has nothing to contribute to blink-182 because I think he still has it in him to make a good record. But if he continues to be hard to work with, then he has no business in being in blink. This latest single shows that they can absolutely kill it if they are fully committed and they have extra sets of ears to help them, but I just don't think Tom would ever be open to that again.

Just saw the tracklisting for the first time. I cant believe how short all these songs are. BTD is the longest song on the album at 3:55.
