You guys think there's going to be a lyric video for Built This Pool some time today?

 

Yeah one of my problems with those 2 releases was how thin and weak everything sounded. There's so much energy and urgency to Bored to Death even if it is maybe slightly TOO polished.

 

Probably not even an official release of it. They just played it on the air for fun.

 

If I hadn't met Mark backstage at a show and Matt at a Trio show I'd probably be all over a VIP package. But I just can never justify that money. I'm old, I just wanna sit on the lawn and watch them play haha.

 

For me, Blink is about the last band that I want to be front row, against the barricade for

Its hard to say no to the prices for the two more expensive bundles. They could have easily charged closer to $100 or more

If anyone is complaining about the joke songs, they clearly do not understand this band.

Kinda surprised everyone is having so much trouble pre-ordering. I was able to make my purchase rather quickly.

For those wondering, I did receive a download for Bored To Death.

 

Those people must have never listened to blink before.

 

Damn I shouldve ordered the vinyl from Amazon since it was $7.63 cheaper but I dont think I would have gotten the purple variant so I guess thats a plus (trying to justify my decision haha)

 

Stop. Seriously. They clearly have listened to and do understand the band. Let it go.

 

We've addressed this before in terms of other artists. Simply because you weren't bothered by the content of an artist in the past doesn't mean that you are wrong for calling it out now. People change, mature, learn new things. Frankly, my sense of humor has evolved past "naked dudes" since the last time I laughed at a blink joke. Them singing curse words was amusing when I wasn't allowed to say curse words. I can find delight in it for purely nostalgic purposes at this point, but I wouldn't necessarily call it funny.

Arguing about when and why people should be offended leads nowhere. If you don't find the content offensive, move on. There's no point in attempting to tell someone that they can't be offended.

 

To anyone who has done a preorder: are they charging your card immediately?

Does anyone know what color the Amazon vinyl is?

 

I tried with my CC earlier and it got declined because there wasn't enough on it, haha. That's never happened when I used it to pre-order before when they don't charge so I'm going to go with yes. Someone else said they got charged immediately using paypal as well.

 

It's silly how people are like "How can you like Built This Pool but crucify Tom for Golden Showers?" Tom had ZERO interest in making music like that now, but after the shit hit the fan he threw that crap together like "guys totally I love blink check out all these totally-blink songs I have!" That song was the definition of try-hard. It was so forced. Built A Pool sounds like 15 seconds of genuine silliness. And in these times when it's so easy to delete what you don't want, really not a big deal.

 

Why get all uptight then? Some people will find something awful in anything anyone says. What's worse is others even try to look for those things.
