lyrics are usually the last thing i pay attention to, ha. but i agree that Blink has some really nonsensical lyrics in a few songs.

 

If you really want to hear some lyrics that don't make sense, listen to Love Pt 1/2 and The Dream Walker. These albums contain the least about of sense demonstrated by Tom.

 

Aside from bad humor, I don't have much issue with their lyrics. But then, I'm not someone who looks too much into lyrics.

 

Enema of the State's lyrics have aged horribly for me. That and its overall sugary/polished production have left it in my lower tier of blink albums.

"I need a girl that I can train"

"I said I was the cops, and your husband's in jail
This state looks down on sodomy.
And that's about the time that bitch hung up on me"

"Some girls try too hard to impress with the way that they dress
and those things on their chest and the things they suggest to me"

basically all of "Mutt" and "Dysentery Gary"

it's really grating to me now even though sonically I really love some of it.

 

Yeah that album in particular does have some pretty bad misogyny.

While I do agree, If a new band put out songs with those lyrics I would immediately shut it off, but Enema has such a special place in my heart that I'm able to over look it for the most part. Enema is just too good to write off because of a few bad lyrics.

I have to try it on mobile but I never had an issue with the old mobile site.

I really hope not but based on what Jason Tate posted, it'll be phased out completely soon.

 

Whenever I would login and post/check messages/etc it would log me out right after I did something and I would have to log back in. It was very annoying.
