"woah's" and "na-na's" have been replaced with the word "knife" in that song.

People give Feldmann too much credit for writing. He hasn't written anything I liked for his own albums since Open Your Eyes lol

That song has the exact California sound, lyrics, melodies, and vibe. And I am so bored by it.

Yeah this song absolutely shows that they need a new producer for the next album

    Things have changed.

The album features a host of special guests including guest vocals from Blink-182's Mark Hoppus, 311 lead-singer Nick Hexum, Mighty Mighty Boss Tones guitarist Nate Albert ("Get What I Need") on guitar, Twenty One Pilots' Josh Dun on drums ("Orthodontist Girl"), and ONE OK ROCK's Takahiro Moriuchi, amongst others. Blink-182’s Travis Barker plays drums on the album

He's apparently in the band now. It's him, Feldmann and Phil Sneed from Story of the Year.

  13. ooooh i guess if he's officially in the band now, then that makes sense that they wouldn't list him as a feature.

How is it cracking you up? Honestly, I would love to know. People have different preferences in music than others. (Shocking, right?!) People are allowed to love artists and albums differently. Just because you have an opinion does not make it fact.

Great example, I've been a blink fan since I was 13 years old. I'm going on 30 this year... holy shit I'm old. Either way, I love blink's catalogue, especially their self titled album. It's my personal favorite.

My girlfriends sister is 8 years younger than us. She recently started listening to older pop punk and fell in love with blink. Her favorite album is California. It is her summer album. It's her anthem of the year so to speak.

My point is, we all love music for what it makes us feel and to some degree where we are at personally in our lives. She's young and loves blink with Skibba. That's HER band. I will not tarnish or belittle her opinion because it differs from mine. I'm just stoked she loves the music.

Don't be so quick to judge people on Twitter for sharing love for an album they obviously care so much about.

I honestly don't really mind that as a Goldfinger song, but yeah, too much of that bled over to California songs, and it really isn't blink's identity at all (imo). Excited to hear that one song that Travis posted a clip from that sounded like Mark was singing on though.

I mean I get that people are worn out on Feldmann's production. Obviously he produced this too. But this is apparently the best he thinks he has to offer from his own album, blink led off with Bored To Death which is a top-notch blink song and destroys this lol.

  17. It's the John Feldman band.

That too. I really don't have interest in Goldfinger without the guys who made them that. These guitars don't sound like a Goldfinger song really either.

Oh there's def exceptions. Senses Fail kept getting better. I never really minded Saves The Day's revolving lineup either.

He does have a unique voice though.
I agree with the other sentiments... this sounds like California (or does California sound like this...? Haha).

As much as I want a new producer... I can't see it happening.

How do we get the ball rolling for a new producer? Kickstarter? Twitter? Write letters to our respective congressmen?

Man, the new Goldfinger song sounds like a California Blink song that Feldman kept for himself and added in his version of bad melody and lyrics. What a rip off haha.

Also, I would be so surprised if they used another producer for the next Blink album. Mark likes to play it safe and has it in his head that he needs another person's support to keep him accountable and write songs. Travis will just go with the flow and deliver with whatever hand he is dealt with. Matt might be the only hope for them working with another producer, but thats if he ends up with a 1/3 of the decision making and has more of a voice with them now that he's been with them long enough.

All we can do is just drill them with questions about working with another producer during those live Q&As or if any of us meet them in person. That way they'll at least get the hint haha.

I do hope the next album isn't in 2018. Fall/winter 2019 sounds perfect because imo they need to spend a little longer writing this time around.

I am happy Mark seems to have lost his writer's block
