What that LP8 changes??? Nooooo that needs to happen, now that they got one out I feel like they're more comfortable together and LP8 will be a push forward.

 

You had your glory. I want my Trio album.

 

I mean, I'd be cool with a trio album too. Matt will get around to it, he's a free willed man he'll do what he wants lol

 

I'd take a Trio album right now over a new Blink one. Let everyone have a breather, write new ideas, and just chill for a little bit (they just released 27 new songs) and then come back to it next year sometime with a new producer and see what happens.

Plus, Travis still has 2 finished albums under his belt that those bands haven't released yet, which I'm assuming is because Travis has been too busy with Blink in order for them to properly promote those albums.

 

I feel like Mark is rushing this because he doesn't wanna lose momentum. In reality Blink would be just fine if they waited.

 

I wouldn't go that far.

 

I mean...I highly doubt Matt is being forced against his will to do anything he doesn't want to do.

I'd be fine with LP8 starting in December, I'd be fine with Matt working on Trio and then Blink regrouping next year like Brad said. Either works for me

 

I don't know, I could just live without a Blink record for a few years.

I actually would agree with you, I think heading back into the studio at the end of the year would be kind of too soon as well. As much as I liked California I'm kind of burnt out on it now, especially since the Deluxe album dropped. I haven't really listened to it since Monday.

I was always in the camp of give me new blink all the time anytime but I think it would be best for them to relax and interview new producers, haha.

I guess what I'm saying is I can wait a bit for new blink, especially if they're going to have the new album be a different direction/tone from California.

 

If it'll give us the best possible album I'd be fine waiting a year for them to regroup. More than that I might get antsy lol

 

Next album is called WASHINGTON D.C and will be full of political protest songs.

None of my friends stayed huge fans of Blink the way I did. I put together that most friends lost interest in them when self-titled came out.

Then California came out and rekindled their love for the band. Ive heard a lot of "Best album since TOYPAJ" and "They're Blink 182 again"/"They're fun again".

Its just interesting hearing these things come from old school fans who are now casual listeners of Blink.

 

I've seen a lot of that too. I love it, also love the new fans coming in. Also know a few who didn't like them before but liked California a lot. Also sadly seen the reverse; my best friend from Ohio was as big a blink fan as me but won't give California except for BTD a chance.

 

I work with a guy nearing 40 who was a mega fan back in the day. He was listening to the deluxe album yesterday for the first time yesterday. First text I receive is "the song -parking lot- fucking rocks dude!"

It is pretty cool seeing someone like that still digging it, even if I feel like me at 23 is too old for these lyrics.

 

Just listened to Fuck You Aurora for the first time. Discovering a whole new universe here

 

"Parking Lot" to me sounds like a NOFX song, and I'm down wit dat

 

Parking Lot might actually be my favorite song on the DLX album.

Thats the best Skiba has sounded in a long time. Very throw back to Good Mourning-era.

 

Parking Lot was my best first impression solely on awesome screamy Matt which is funny cause it's easily my least favorite full song on the deluxe disc.

 

Agreed; though Wildfire gets that title from me now.

 

It's right behind that for me. Those are really my only skips.

 

Same. I don't even dislike them really. Just prefer the others by a large margin

 

New Goldfinger album "The Knife" out July 21 via Rise Records. Travis is drumming on it from the looks of the music video. There's also a single that just dropped.
