Here's one for ya. Speaking of maybe listening to an album too much
This upsets my more OCD/sequencing frother mates

Besides first and maybe second listen...


....I listen to every album I own on shuffle..


I never play it in order after the second time so I'm not always listening to the first few songs and neglect the tail end of it's not an hour long gym or car ride etc

 

And I thought my mild OCD was bad.

 

I do the exact same thing (Except if I listen on vinyl. Obviously bc I can't shuffle that). It also increases an album's long-term listening value for me.

 

I could never play an album on shuffle. I exclusively listen in full

 

I like doing both. Generally I listen to the albums in full front to back but then there are times where I just choose a band and hit play all. It depends on what I am doing and my mood

 

I think even shuffling the discography of bands is weird because imagine transitions like Stockholm Syndrome -> Fentoozler haha

 

You do get weird moments like that. I've had that before, Feleing this and then Ben wah balls. Also had TBS once go from Cute Without The E to Fences and that for some reason was kind of jarring lol. Usually I put it on mix only if I'm jogging, walking the dog, house cleaning, etc

 

I don't know it's tough. This is only my experience. I was born in '91. And everyone I knew growing up loved blink and was heavily influenced by them. Like legitimately they were THE band for my age group. And for whatever reason now they actually are held in importance by all our parents and that age group as well. Plus with California being such a huge album some of the younger age group are into it as well. I would say that they would be eligible for Induction for sure. Huge legacy and influenced a lot of newer bands.

 

I'm really impatient for Bottom Of The Ocean after that clip dammit lol. I'm def getting hyped back up now

 

Ayyyy alright. Got my shipping notification. Says it shipped on the 13th on Priorty. Delivery was expected today, but it didn't come. So looks like it could be here tomorrow.

Definitely smelling a leak tomorrow.

 

There was nothing special about pre-orders this time (got the signed cd first time) so I didn't. Regretting this decision now lol

I've really got into liking Sober recently. Haven't cared much for it before, but now i really dig it. The verses are really cool, and it's probably the song on California where the nana's fit the best.

 

My four-pack of vinyl shipped yesterday. Says it will arrive tomorrow...

got mine on amazon because no way was I paying 16 dollar shipping, but amazon says it won't arrive till Friday :(

I liked this post because I was born in the same year. Like, it's a good post, but I liked it before I even read past the year you were born. It's weird how universally loved this band is. My dad actually got me into them because he loved their song on the Charlie's Angels soundtrack. My dad was usually very strict about what I could listen to and so it was a surprise and opened the door for him to let me listen to more bands and go to shows growing up.

I realize that I'm ranting now(I blame it on having just woke up), so I guess what I'm trying to say is that I love blink-182.

 

Maybe shipped last night, says it'll be here Thursday :)

Yeah I got mine from Best Buy, it says it won't arrive until Friday. Lame.

 

I've been waving the sober flag since the album's release. That piano in the bridge is so killer. Highlight of the entire record for me.
