I've always thought this band walks on water, but since Neighborhoods, I've felt my fanboy-ness starting to dwindle, but in this California era, I feel it even more. I'll always be excited for new Blink music and tours, don't get me wrong, but I'm just not "feeling this" stuff as much as I wish I did.

 

Here we go. Lists! That always distracts everyone. Make a Best of Blink compilation with 3 songs from each album. 3 bonus tracks at end For Live/EP/Deluxe

I think that's generally how we all feel. haha. Although, I will say, my teenage-self did make an appearance the day that "Bored to Death" came out. That's been the peak of my blink hype since 2003 probably, but it's taken a steep drop after California ran its course. I feel like that's completely acceptable though given the lack of Tom.

When "Bored To Death" leaked and I ran out to my car to listen to it for the first time, I fucking loved it! Still do. BTD was definitely the first song that really got me stoked on this version of the band. It felt like a return to form. When I got the album, the song that I liked the most (besides BTD) was "She's Out Of Her Mind" and it's still one of my favorites on the album, for sure.

 

Yeah I hear you. Blink has been and probably always will be my favorite band but it's not the same as it was in their heyday. Maybe because I've grown up or maybe because I've been jaded and down on them very once and awhile with all the BS that happened from 2005 to 2015. The main reason why I loved the band was because it was 3 guys who are best friends playing in a band together and played songs I can relate to and were singing songs about stuff I was dealing with at the time. They were growing up while I was. I will say I loved California, it was a fun nostalgia summer time album that took me back to being in junior high and high school. But with that being said I do hope they go in a different direction with the next album. There's so much potential there with those 3 artists that I want them to push themselves now that they're back in the spotlight again. I really don't want another safe album the next time around. I want more songs like Bored to Death, San Diego, Left Alone, and even Misery over Kings of the Weekend, Teenage Satellites and Parking Lot.

 

I'd join in on this post but this about sums it up for me.

 

How much would you folks pay for Blink to write + record a personalized song, just for you?

 

I'm not gonna lie, I would probably pay like $1,000.

 

I'd pay about half that

 

It would probably end up disappointing me unless I was able to tell them the style of song I wanted haha.

They'd make bank b/c every song would be filled with generalities and then your name tacked into the chorus.

We're all in the thread of a band that spent the better part of their career talking about how bad they were at making music, but making fun of them is taking it too far?

 

I watched the whole thing. Not sure why. haha

See, this is what I mean. People are way too sensitive here about criticizing or making fun of the band whatsoever.

 

I don't believe anyone was rude or arrogant in here. That's a weird thing to say.
