Absolutely! And that's basically what I am trying to get at.

I'm gonna jump 8 months into the future and say my top 3 albums of the year are:

    1 - blink-182's yet to be titled
    2 - The 1975's ILWYSFYASBYSUOI
    3 - Deftones' Gore.

I am still waiting to love Gore. I really dig it, but I haven't had the aha moment yet.

I get you, I had it this sunday on a bus ride back home at night (which sounds very cliche. And it is) while listening to Phantom Bride. I think that already is one of my favorite Deftones song of all time.

I really like the opening song and the last three or four. I'll keep giving it a shot bc they are an awesome band.

I leave for vacation tomorrow so probably won't be checking in too often the next 5 days, I'll try and pop in for the premier. If not...see ya on the other side!

I really hope this is decent. I know immediately after this is released everyone (including myself) will say this is great and WAY better without Tom...but I hope it has lasting value.

I though After Midnight was great when I first heard it but now I can barely remember that record.

I just saw this on blink's latest Facebook post lol:

"in the bible it says in the book of Alkaline Trio Chapter 3 verse 182: "Respect thou Skiba for his talents and passion are that of a member who wants to be there"

I thought this was a post FROM Blink's Facebook account and got really annoyed.

No haha. A random comment on their latest post. That would be horrible if the blink account posted that.

I'm watching videos from Blink's last pre-hiatus show and it's the sound of frustration and "fuck it". I'd love to know what things were like backstage 2 hours before the show.

I actually still think After Midnight is one of their best songs and probably my favorite video of theirs.

  16. That's my favorite album of the year in a style and scope I am very attracted and drawn to with a level of artistry I don't think many bands even attempt. I would be very shocked if it comes close as I think that's one of the better albums I've heard in like 5+ years. I think I'll greatly enjoy new Blink-182, I just don't think they're really competing for AOTY stuff for me anymore. I'd love to be wrong obviously, but I just sort of have them in a different camp of band for me. Love them, one of my favorites ever, but that specific type of music doesn't usually end up in my EOTY lists at the top. It's usually 15-25.

That's probably how I'm gonna feel too. I still love Blink but I'm gonna have to be really shocked by how great this is for it to make my Top 5 or 10.

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

Easily the best song on Neighborhoods, at least in my opinion.

This was Tom's final show in October 11th, 2014. Really good quality video, and they sounded great (including Mr. Delonge).

You're right, it is. I guess the record itself has no lasting value aka. I don't really find myself listening to that song very often.

I had a big day doing the lawn this weekend (I feel like an old man now) and listened to the Mark, Tom and Travis Show, EOTS and TOYPAJ...those albums will never get old.

PS - Off topic but a new Saosin song just downloaded to my iTunes account and it's pretty solid. This should hold me over until Thursday!

They were supposed to play a festival in Houston near the end of that year that I was planning on attending, but unfortunately the whole thing got cancelled. Would've been cool to be able to say you were at the last performance with Tom.

  25. I saw the Vegas show AND I went to the 2005 tsunami benefit in Anaheim that blink cancelled on and subsequently broke up after (but actually before).
