Isn't "Vices" on Daisy though? That's one of my fav Br& Nu songs.

 

I've been outwardly obnoxious about how bad Daisy is since it was released and never got banned on AP. Well, I've gotten banned on AP but not for that

That, Gasoline, and Bought a Bride are some of my favorite Br& Nu songs.

 

Those and maybe one other are the only ones I like off Daisy. And I liked every song on every album prior lol

 

I feel like Daisy started as crap but grew to be better for me while Neighborhoods started out being good for me but over time I began to dislike it.

 

We need Misery to drop lol. 5 days

 

If we were gamblers, how much would we bet that Misery contains multiple "whoas"?

 

This should probably be posted in unpopular music opinions, but back in the ap.net days when i saw a lot of Brand New love and discussions of who was the better band, I checked them out and remember thinking how blink was infinitely, unarguably better. The older I got the more I appreciated BN, but they just didn't seem as unique or memorable as blink.

Also an unpopular opinion, but I enjoy YFW and DE more than TDAGARIM and Daisy

Same, even if I do absolutely love Devil and God I'll place the first two before it. And choose Blink over them.

Blink is pretty much the only pop punk band I listen to as well, which is why I dislike Parking Lot for sounding like the type of pop punk that I hate

 

Given how much I just absolutely adore blink and how young I was when I was into them, I'm surprised I don't like more pop punk. Green Day is really all I still listen to, but even at the time (99-04) my interest only extended as far as Sum 41 and New Found Glory, a little Say Anything/Starting Line/Something Corporate, but I just wasn't as into them as blink or Green Day. Maybe it was discovering new stuff like Death Cab for Cutie/Kanye West around when blink broke up, and I was like 13-14, so maybe my tastes just went a different way.

 

The worst wave of pop punk scene was what started about 7 years ago with State Champs, Man Overboard, Real Friends, Mixtapes, Tonight Alive, etc. they all sounded the same, no originality (Man Overboard had a few catchy songs). There's still a lot of shitty ones out there. But that's also because we're exposed to so much more. Back in like 05 and earlier you had to be good to get a record out and make a name for yourself.

 

The Devil And God is my favorite album ever. Blink's Untitled is third behind From Here To Infirmary.

I'm not crazy about Daisy but it's better than YFW easily. It doesn't touch TDAG or Deja though.

I barely even feel like a fan of Brand New though despite them having two of my top 10 albums. Cause I expect nothing lol.

 

I guess if you want to count the Ramones and Descendents and Naked Raygun and pre-90s punk with pop elements I like a lot of pop punk. But I don't lump those bands with stuff like blink and New Found Glory

As for me I think Blink may be the only pop punk I listen to anymore....come to think of it before hand too. Did TBS ever count as pop punk? They sure don't now. Other pop punk bands like NFG I don't listen to really anymore. My tastes nowadays range from Blink to TBS, Hawthorne Heights, Saint Asonia, Breaking Benjamin and Starset. None of which I believe qualify as pop punk. Blink may be the only ones.

 

Unpopular opinion but I never thought Brand New was good. And I would take many front men over Lacey anyday.

 

Yeah, pop-punk has all but died out for me. Blink and NFG are the only ones I still listen to that still put out music (RIP Yellowcard). Sad to say but all the bands I used to listen to are either inactive or formed other bands.

 

Probably not as unpopular of an opinion as it used to be, but I would take Daisy over everything in Brand New's catalog besides Devil and God.

And, I have always had weird desire for Blink to cover Noro. I have no idea why at all.

Yeah I like Tonight Alive a lot, minus their last album. I wouldn't group them in with the others he mentioned though.

 

I just can't wait for them to break out Adam's Song. It might be the most excited I ever get over a YouTube video lol

 

Since I grew up with Tom, when it comes to those old songs I would definitely prefer to see him playing it. Newer songs, like from Untitled/Neighborhoods etc I don't mind at all with Skiba.

But i'd also settle to see Tom play The Wolfpack live. Like wtf. Not a single video on youtube and that was a single. Hell, if he played I Feel So, or Cat like thief, people would lose their shit!
