I haven't heard Odi since the untitled acoustic cover album over a decade ago but I remember enjoying that as a sleeping album

Odi isn't too bad, I liked his cynical cover. FI and that tomwannabe on the other hand ugggghhhhh

God that future idiots cover ruins all the best things about cynical.

 

I think the thing that bothers me about those cover artists (Odi to a much lesser extent), is that I could never see myself spending so much of my time dedicated to learning an instrument JUST to cover someone else. Playing guitar is its own craft so my brain can't figure out why you would want to use any talent you might have to sound exactly like someone else. Very strange.

that's why i hate doing straight covers of songs. i like re-writing it all and making it my own so it's not just a duplicate.

 

So... new tracks: Bottom of the Ocean, Can't Get You More Pregnant, Last Train Home, Long Lost Feeling, 6/8, Parking Lot, Wildfire, Good Old Days, Misery and Don't Mean Anything.

How many more are we 'waiting on'?

 

I think that's it for the deluxe. I would welcome any more that came our way though.

Nice, so 11 songs with "Hey I'm Sorry". That's basically an album in my book.

I'm sure if there are a couple of more out there, it's fine that we don't hear them because if they don't make the cut after 27-ish songs, the guys probably don't feel too strongly about them.

 

That's a decent amount. 10/11 solid tracks is better than tracks of relative filler.

Also... two covers (Parking Lot and Last Train Home). Should interesting ;)

 

I really Doubt and hope they're not covers.. I don't like covers (most of the time) In the first place and if I do, I don't like when they're added as a track on an album.. they should just be one off releases

I posted all of the titles that I could find there earlier.

 

I actually like that there's just 11 out of the 14 that they originally said. Like @Mrk_Brdshw said sounds like they went "we think these are great, but these three aren't quite there."

 

Some of the song titles seem lame and lazy. But I think the music will make up for that.

 

I'm excited for 6/8 cause that's my dad's birthday, even though they are probably referring to Time Signature lol

 

Was wondering what ever happened with that collab, hope they add it to the deluxe.. at this point, since it's a deluxe/bonus track album they should just throw everything on there if they're not planning on releasing them or working on them for a future release
