Get off your high horse man. If that is your opinion it's fine, but as you mentioned before you are obviously in the minority on this. The problem is that you cannot seem to have a debate without twisting words, ignoring facts, insulting and name calling, and only accepting your opinion as reality. You think Tom is the lord in high, that's wonderful I used to respect the hell out of the dude before. And there are some people on here that agree with you. Do you see the difference between you and them though? They don't get mad when someone disagrees and they actually have a debate of a conversation with intelligent dialect. I am not trying to have a problem with you, but you seem bent on making sure people do, specifically calling me out a few times in particular.

I hope he does, then maybe he saw how happy I was for the meet and greet I had with him last year but was too star struck to express in person lol

 

I look back at all the singles the band has released I honestly think Bored To Death may easily be my favorite one.

 

BTD is up there. Feeling This is my all time favorite song so I may be a bit bias though

 

I think Feeling This and Always are tied for second for me.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if Mark posts in this thread.

Tom, the new album has outsold Neighborhoods in only like 8 months, please appreciate how your new employee Matt has helped save the legacy that you were actively killing. He should probably get a raise if you can find it in your heart. Thank you. Now go find those pesky aliens and have a good day.

 

You guys seem to hate Tom in kind of unhealthy levels honestly. He's been cocky, scatterbrained, said some dumb stuff and had inner conflict towards his feelings with the band but he's not a bad person. He was crucial to getting this band to where it is/was.

 

One can respect the past and despise the present.

 

I totally respect this, and agree. I used to idolize the guy and he always seemed cool. Do I think he's handling things well? Not really. Will I poke fun at him for it? Sure. I don't hate the man and have full respect for his role in getting Blink to where it is now. This doesn't mean I can't like the new version of the band just as much, or think that tom is a bit off his rocker.

Exactly! Criticism is fine, what he's been putting out lately is worthy of it. Just thought this thread was getting a little too negative when we should focus on the (likely great) upcoming deluxe album.

 

Exactly. My problem (and what has been occurring tonight) is when someone from either side takes things to extremes. Just like in politics!

 

I just hate that he always has to namedrop Travis like he's actively working against Matt to get Tom back in when I'm sure Travis has to be happy with the success they're having. I feel like Travis probably is just too nice to say no to anything Tom throws out there lol. Like he just nods and is like "Yeah, sure Tom"

 

At this point anything Tom says it's taken to heart. Call him whatever but I do think he means no harm when he says things. If I were him I'd just choose my words differently or not speaking to the media until he's alright. I really don't think he's handling Blinks success right now well at all.

 

I realize that Tom is an owner of blink 182 and he could definitely fuck it up if he wanted to. That's probably why I overreact a bit when he says these things cause I really want to see where this lineup with Matt goes from here on out. If he forced his way back and they continued, I'd definitely be done with blink, I barely cared about DED. If he makes good on these kind of veiled threats of coming back at anytime, I hope Mark just tells him to fuck off and like keeps doing his own thing with Matt. I just hate Tom's songwriting that much at this point.
