Totally agree, California is a way more consistent record. But it's so strange because even though California is more consistent, I wouldnt consider any of those songs in a Best of Blink list....but I would add a few Neighborhoods songs.

It doesn't have anything to do with Tom. California has only been out for less than a year. The label probably still thinks they can push more units (They're not wrong. She's Out of Her Mind just peaked on the charts not too long ago and that's only the second singles). The band hasn't even toured California outside the US and won't have done so before this deluxe edition comes out. Don't think California has gone gold yet either and a rerelease would definitely push them over that hump.

Really confuses me when so many people completely dismiss Cheshire Cat, it's my 3rd favourite of theirs.

Gotta keep the record long enough to push Sober as a summer single

  5. It's a perfect summer time single. I hope they get it out there!

Its so damn close too. I think I read somewhere that it has already sold around 415k. Well passed Neighborhoods haha

I just hope this doesnt mean that the next single will be from the deluxe tracklist. I really think the album would explode if Sober or Home became singles and were catered to pop radio.

    Ah you read my mind!

  8. Unless they pick a new track that is as good/better than those songs, which is probable.

It'll be a deluxe track. 90% sure of that if past bands delxues are to go by

I never said I hated them or anything. But they just aren't as good as California.

I'm ready for the 14 new songs. Damn, 28 songs in a span of a year compared to like 16 in the 7 years from 2009-2014.

I do think the "deluxe edition" will be confusing for the casual fan. All us diehards will obviously buy/listen but to the average person that already owns California they may not feel the need to buy it again for the deluxe, even if it's a whole other album worth

I'm in that weird camp that liked Neighborhoods, basically every song minus Fighting the Gravity and This is Home. So I will never diss neighborhoods or hate it, and I still listen to it. That being said California to me is a better album, will have more longevity and while there are songs I like less then some Neighborhoods songs on it(looking at you California title track), I still don't dislike a single California song. I always skip This is Home and Fighting, never skip any California songs. My hype for the deluxe to further this is through the roof

I liked Neighborhoods as well as California. They both are exactly what they are. Blink albums past their prime.

Been waiting for them to push themselves again.

Even though they've been saying there's a whole new album's worth of songs on the deluxe version, I'm not gonna get my hopes up too high until I see an actual track list. 14 new songs just sounds too good to be true

We should be getting an announcement soon™, if they're aiming for an April release. Within 3 weeks at least.

There will be a few of those hilarious joke tracks I'm sure that pad it out.

And Travis gets what he says. If I recall he's the one who was like "f*** it let's put 16 songs on California."
