Would be nice to have a collaboration or a song of Blink and Linkin Park.

 

I love Boxing Day. I feel like it would have fit in well for radio play and people would have really liked it. Good, catchy song.

 

Boxing Day had decent airtime on Philly's 104.5 for a month or two. Then, poof. Gone.

 

The Smashmouth verse in Boxing Day kinda ruins it for me but I do like the chorus.

 

You guys, Up All Night came on shuffle and I got confused why someone was covering KeezyKabeezy...

 

smashmouth verse?

 

Tom's inflection during the verse is very similar to that of Smash Mouth's vocalist in, "All star."

@Preserved Moose correct me if I'm off base with this one.

 

I do remember something Smash Mouth-y about that song. Not listened to it in a while.

It's the exact same melody

 

Tom got tired of reusing his own stuff for the 1000th toime, he had to turn elsewhere for ideas.

 

Yeah. I do know I never noticed it til it was pointed out on here, so I guess it bothered me less than others. Boxing Day and Dogs Eating Dogs are the only songs I ever revisit from that EP.

 

So he turned to the hit movie Shrek

And Mystery Men

 

Is liking Boxing Day really an unpopular opinion? I thought it was pretty well-received by most.

Speaking of, I should probably revisit the EP.

i love dogs eating dogs. "disaster" is probably the best job tom ever did of embedding the ava aesthetic in a blink song

 

One of my favourite reunion blink songs for sure.

 

Every time i revisit that tune, I am shocked by how out of sync that acoustic guitar riff is with the rhythm. Gives me physical shudders.

The song Dogs Eating Dogs is very cool though.

 

That's actually one of the things I like about the song! Haha, to each his own.

 

Which song pre-Enema, if any, would you love to hear re-recorded?

I choose Waggy. I have no issue with the production on Dude Ranch, but I think that song has the potential to sound massive.

 

Listen to Saturday Love, and then hum Video Killed the Radio Star to the chorus.

 

There's a lot off of cheshire and buddha that I'd want re-done. Right now, my vote is for Strings. It's a fun song but I absolutely hate the overall production of it.
