okay i've literally never listened any of the songs from the deluxe addition of california before. here's my track-by-track review of my first listen through:

parking lot: what the fuck is this song? hahaha. i'm going to take a shot every time they mention being young on this album... hopefully i'll still be able to see straight by the time i finish it

misery: okay so these really are just the songs that were too bad to be on the standard version of california. got it. really glad i made the decision to listen to this

good old days: another song where they mention being young and another shot downed. there's literally not a single redeemable or memorable thing about this song. "we're not growing up"; lmao clearly

don't mean anything: seriously do these guys not know how old they are? why are they still witting melodramatic songs about their parents?

hey i'm sorry: could they really only think of one line to repeat for the chorus? at least the bridge here was interesting instrumentally but the rest of the song was just

last train home: glad they included bored to death pt.3 on here

wildfire: "i don't wanna grow up" lmao that seems to be a reoccurring theme lyrically with a lot of these songs. this is absolutely a filler track and nobody can change my mind on that

6/8: why does the intro to this sound like, idk, chiodos or some shit? lmao. bad song

long lost feeling: "i was bored". same, mark, same

bottom of the ocean: hahahahh what's up with that clap/snare build up? actually what's up with this whole song? i have no idea what's going on here and i genuinely can't wait for this to be over

can't get you more pregnant: "masturbation!! haha!!"

bored to death (acoustic): lmao how did they manage to make this song even more boring?


i liked 0/12 song here. i give it 0 stars out of 10. this might actually be worse than dogs eating dogs?

 

We need more lyrics such as: “18 and a wicker basket” and 5 years of wondering “will they finally record an album this year?”

Hard to argue against such a perfect review. Dogs eating dogs is great though.

 

That is actually one of my favorite Ava lines. That whole ep is a masterpiece.
