Saying it isn't to do with his music yet STILL name dropping blink for no reason.

Someone in a Trio FB group (and it's generally a pretty civil and respectful group) said about blink having to cancel their LP shows "hold on this might be good news for Trio" and now I hope Matt stays in blink forever just to spite that one guy. And Trio is my favorite band.

 

That's...that makes no sense

 

He had to do something to grab peoples attention enough to read the post.

 

He made a worse comment after that which I'll spare everyone. But I sincerely hope he's the only Trio fan whose train of thought was "Chester's suicide > cancelled blink shows > time for Trio to record" wtf

 

That is definitely awful to say about this situation... what's also dumb as shit is that the commenter probably didn't realize they were only playing 2 shows together, haha. Sheesh!

Bad news... I hate how limited Feldmann's vision of blink is (it goes right in line with the fact that he never reinvented himself as a producer). There's no way we'll have a more thoughtful record again with him at the helm.

 

Fucking Failedmann. Shit.

 

Eh Mark already said what he wants the next record to be. If he wants it to be more thought out, Feldmann will just have to cut down his caffeine consumption and chill out with the "write a chorus in 5 minutes" stuff. Mark isn't going to do it a way that he doesn't want to.

I'm not really a Feldmann hater but he sounded kind of pretentious in that article. He's talking like he's in or has any control over the band

 

Feldmann really sucks

 

While I would have liked to see a new producer for the next album, it amazes me how many people think that Feldmann is the one calling all the shots in the band and that Mark, Travis and Matt are simply yes men doing whatever he says. But that quote from him doesn't sit well with me only because we got basically 2 albums full of fun singalong blink, I want something new for the next album.

 

I don't think they're yes men, but I mean it's very obvious the influence he has on the three of them.

 

I think all 4 of them went into the studio on the same page of making a fun, back to the basics, summer time, sing-along album to get blink back on the map again. I don't think Feldmann had any more influence that Jerry Finn did but again who knows as none of us were in the studio.

 

I hope Tom releases something awesome so all you nerds pound sand.

 

He doesn't have it in him anymore. He is a has been.

i mean... he has been working on that awful sounding WDNTW acoustic album... haha

 

Tom releasing something amazing would be awesome, but there's a higher chance of my cat preparing a 5 star meal for me.
