Tom saying shit like "I'll be back in blink" is pretty much what began my annoyance of him.

Tom infiltrating the government and agents succumbing to him of all people is just hilarious. Like all these "generals" etc spend 35 years working in cloak an dagger undercover secret agencies and just decide to spill the beans to a random dude from a pop punk band. It's Homer Simpson esque. After they give him all this classified UFO info he leaves and then someone puts on Fuck a Dog. "I'm beginning to think Tom Delonge was not the brilliant tactician I thought he was".

 

I mean I can see why he said it, it was used by ESPN and ABC to promote the 2006 worldcup as well as other docuseries, Obama used at his rallies, and it's been in multiple tv shows. I'd call that pretty successful.

I was going to say Dammit, but realized Mark doesn’t sing the chorus live. So imma go ahead and say Wendy Clear.

Mainly because Matt usually nails the harmonies.

 

I mean he's not entirely wrong. Song was massive.

 

Sure, it was a big song, I suppose. But I think him saying it's the biggest song of his career is what's not true. He wishes so bad that his most successful time in his career was post-Blink.

 

Do we really need to compare All The Small Things to The Adventure? I'm not talking about what song is 'better' but ATST was a much bigger success, charted higher, basically pushed blink to be one of the biggest bands in the late 90s/early 2000s and will be remembered as one of the defining songs of the Pop Punk genres. The Adventure is a totally forgettable song in 2019 but ATST could be played at a random sporting event/club/whatever and people will know the words and sing along.
