Expecting it to be a Blink song, but I’d love a new Goldfinger record. Last one was a lot of fun.

Every time I listen to California deluxe I can’t help but wonder how Misery and Parking Lot never made the proper record.

That’s not what I heard in that clip. It was more an anti Tom moment, some love for Matt, some sulking, and drunken banter. Don’t take it too seriously, because they sure aren’t.

Both were written after California was released.

Really? Does the same go for the entirety of the deluxe? I never really paid much attention to it when it came out so I wasn’t aware.

I believe there were 3 or 4 songs that were written after California was released with Parking Lot and Misery being two of them. Hey I’m Sorry, 6/8 and Good Old Days were written during the original California sessions. Not sure about the rest though. I want to say Wildfire was another song written afterwards.

That explains a lot haha. Had they all been written together, I’d like to think Parking Lot and Misery would have made the cut. I enjoy those songs a whole lot more than at least 4 or 5 songs on standard California.

Parking Lot, Misery, and Wildfire were written especially for deluxe.

The rest came from the California sessions

Yeah those two along with Hey I’m Sorry and Long Lost Feeling are definitely my favorites on the Deluxe album.

A lot of the songs that didn’t make the original cut of California was because they were either too similar to other songs already on the album or so different they just didn’t fit in with the rest of the album according to the band.

Yeah I remember mark being pumped for 6/8 and then it didn’t make the album.

The best songs on deluxe for me are Parking Lot, Misery, Don’t Mean Anything, and Hey I’m Sorry. Don’t find the second half to be near as strong.

Wildfire has beautiful harmonies and the verses are spectacular.

When the song picks up with the fast punk beat in the second verse....oh boy....I love it. I love it when songs do stuff like that. Even the second verse of "Not Every Dog Goes To Heaven" has a quick ska switch up. Little things like that make such a big difference in a song. I wish I heard more of it not just from Blink, but from other bands too.

I have grown to like Wildfire more since it came out. Probably the closest they came to making an Enema track on either Cali edition
