Verses are cool but I’m not big on the chorus. Will probably grow on me, and I’m excited for the album

It really really annoys me how big that lovelytheband is because they truly just made a shitty Sir Sly song.

 

This song is really damn good.

 

&run made them enough $ I don’t worry about that much though

 

I always felt like I was in the minority in that I really liked most of California. That said, I think this is a pretty natural progression from that record. The song is good, but mostly makes me excited to hear the rest of the album.

 

Complaining about bands makes so little sense to me when you can so easily avoid things you don't want to hear. Idk the first thing about that band but I take it they're huge? Lol

 

They just did a new topline over "Pumped Up Kids" – it's egregious.

 

Well the guitars aren't prominent like you say and the stuttery computer vocals isn't something blink have done before. I don't think it sounds like them at all tbh outside of Mark's voice being on it. (Not that that's a bad thing.)

Was listening to alt nation earlier and they said they would be playing this song throughout the day. Blink doesn't do that well on that station though. Other than FIrst Date, which is played all the time.

I mean this is cringe worthy because
a) the joke is lame
b) not the place to officially announce a pop punk band like blink 182 is back. grammys dont care.

Dear god... I got sucked into the blink reddit. I can’t do it anymore. That place is just a hatefilled swamp of Tom bots and 18 year olds (no offense to anyone 18 here) who want the old blink back that they never witnessed in the first place. Long time AbsolutePunk-er back home. Oh and I really dig Blame It On the Youth. Chorus a bit too chanty but really good verses and musically.

Damn, reading social media responses to the new song is depressing as fuck. My friends not liking the song either is also depressing lol. Mainly bc I’ve never heard them talk so much shit about a band they love as much as I do.

I need to go on my honeymoon...like right now lol.

 

It’s a very divisive song, and idk why.

 

The youtube comments for the lyric video are like the equivalent of that Parks and Rec episode where all the people take turns voicing their complaints, and the complaints are so stupid that you don't even know how to respond.

 

Honestly I think a lot of it comes from, at least with my friends, them setting pre expectations of Untitled Pt 2 or dude Ranch Pt 2

People read or heard "Similar approach to X" and decided for themselves that it meant "Sounds like X". They kinda torture themselves by doing it.

 

I do really enjoy that brief moment where it's just skiba yelling over what sounds like an acoustic guitar

 

It's admittedly silly, but one of my biggest complaints with modern Blink is how similar Mark and Matt's voices are. They're fine together, but Mark's voice doesn't "pop" the way it used to when he was singing opposite Tom.

 

Not good
