I read somewhere that it's actually a metaphor. Most satellites only last about 13-15 years before they end up breaking down, starts falling apart and can fall back into our atmosphere. So essentially, what I got out of it is that it's about being towards the end of your life and reminiscing about when your life was better and you made more of a difference. Not necessarily "we're teenagers yay!" haha

 

Fair enough. But my complaint also is directed at songs like "Kings Of The Weekend" and "She's Out Of Her Mind" (although I love that one), to name a couple more.

 

Yeah as long as I don’t get lyrics like
“I can’t wait till I’m off from work I’ll meet my friends at the target curb, I rolled my ankle Matt just broke his wrist” I’ll be good

I can’t not imagine a 47 year old Hoppus skateboarding, falling, and rolling his ankle. But that song also fucking rules. And SOOHM rules from the bass tone alone. Very 99/01 Hoppus sounding.

he can't rap but he's phenomenally talented at hooks. his emo rap stuff is a pretty good fit with blink's darker stuff (more natural than Yelawolf on Pretty Little Girl, anyway). and he, as of yet, isn't a piece of shit unlike all the other rappers Travis likes
