  1. Maybe I'm blinded by nostalgia, but in my opinion... Don't Leave Me, Going Away To College, Adam's Song, Wendy Clear are all miles ahead of the vast majority of California and this new Drunk song.

I agree. You can talk about the recent songs not being as good because of producers or lack or Tom or whatever but the fact is that the pre break up songs are just better songs.

It's disappointing having to accept that an artist I used to love has stopped making music I like but it's just the way it is. All the post 2009 stuff just lacks the charm of the oldiez. You can say that blink plus Matt "isn't really blink" but really none of the reunion stuff had the same vibe either. Maybe it is just the nostalgia talking but I'll just stick to watching old 2004 performances on youtube haha. (And whining about it on here of course!)

I love California but have it behind Enema as does most everybody in here so this has never really been disputed otherwise? Lol I had those last 3 in my top 15 I believe before I got to a Cali song

Who in their right mind would argue this? And I love California. But those 4 songs are some of Mark's best work so it's not really a fair comparison.

I love KOTW lol. I think it’s a fun a song. Plus I love the Bad Religion reference in the chorus. It’s a surprisingly good love song too.

RSD 2013 - B-Side was the Frightened Rabbit & Manchester Orchestra collab:

I was thinking of the lyrics on California and how there are a handful of lines I really like out of all of the cheesy ones.

"Home is Such a Lonely Place" has that line:
"And I hold on tight, but not enough to hold you back"

    .
...but then I realized it had basically already been done in "Apple Shampoo":
"I never wanted to hold you back, I just wanted to hold on."

I would agree with three of those songs, but eliminate All The Small Things.

For some reason I cant stnad 95% of Blink's singles. For example; I always skip All The Small Things, Rock Show, First Date, and Feeling This. I tend to skip Whats My Age Again 75% of the time.
I think the most overlooked single would have to be Man Overboard. Love that opening.

Haha no I definitely get it...I know it will sound maybe silly, but since English is not my main language and I fell in love with music when I was a kid and really didn’t understand the word, the melody and structure is ALWAYS first what catches my ear...KOTW does literally nothing for me,but I understand some people like it....I also prefer Michale Graves era of Misfits most so iam aware of me having a lot of different opinions haha

I'd be all for a synthpop blink album - since my wet dream, an even more The Cure-esque vibe than Untitled, doesn't seem to cross their mind.

However when I think of a synthpop blink album, I mean a M83, Chvrches or The Postal Service kind of synthpop and certainly not following FOB or P!ATD (awful) footsteps. Hell, even Paramore is a great example of what they could do - After Laughter is superb.

FOB and Panic are still great but no one in blink has the vocal chops to pull off their current sound

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Yeah, they genuinely can't pull that sound off.
Also the hate for new FOB and Panic is really old at this point

Going full synth pop or Cure is probably too much for blink but anytime they used synths pre-breakup I genuinely loved it. Always, All the Small Things, Dammit, just textures the songs so beautifully and enhances their romantic/poppy moods.

I think they nailed that style with Ghost on the Dancefloor, This is Home, Love is Dangerous and Pretty Little Girl as well.

If they did an album of more like This Is Home, Love Is Dangerous or Pretty Little Girl I'd skip it tbh

Let's stick with Always as a template for that sound lol

Give me an album like All Of This and I would be exstatic. Robert Smith and Tom Delonge together was amazing.

Searched "Simple Creatures" on YouTube... First three results (before the official lyric video) were guitar covers.

Aside from one riff, the song is 4 notes ffs.

So I haven't really been following the Simple Creatures stuff outside of just listening to the song but have they said if they are going to tour or is this more of a "yeah we recorded some songs together and we're releasing them" type thing?
