I did always think it was strange how they immediately decided to bring blink back so quickly after they even started speaking to each other again. It didn't seem like they even felt out the vibe to see if they could get along before they were kind of obligated to WORK together again.

Yeah. I don't think he has really been an active Twitter user since around 2014 before he joined.

 

I know Matt is in hot water with Trio fans right now but I don't think it would blow back to Blink.

 

Tom would ruin BCR if he brought it back

Agreed. Toms voice just isn’t cut out for blink live anymore unless a miracle has happened over recent years.

 

He didn't even do BCR justice live back in 2002... Listening to my BCR bootlegs, Tom sounded fucking AWFUL during that tour. Tom hasn't sounded good live in 16+ years, which is crazy to think about, haha.

 

I’m just ready for the Blink buzz to be back. I’m gonna throw in CA DLX today.

 

Whenever I get the urge to listen to California, I get maybe 4 or 5 songs in and then I end up just putting on TOYPAJ instead.

Maybe I will try to get through all of California today... It's been so long since I have.

I will never understand people thinking there's even a slight chance BCR would ever come back.

 

Considering how busy Travis likes to be and staying friendly with Tom, that's the only thing in this whole situation I could understand haha. Now, wanting it and thinking it could be even 10% as good as the first one, THAT I don't get lol

 

I think BCR could definitely happen, especially considering Tom doesn't have an outlet for that blink/BCR kind of music right now. I just don't think it would be very good.

 

Besides the fact that BCR was a one and done side project that's 16 years old now, it was one of the biggest reasons why blink broke up in the first place. If there was that much tension when Mark, Tom and Travis were all still in a band together and seemingly happy together then I wouldn't want to guess what the relationship between Mark and Travis would be afterwards. There's no upside for Travis to do it no matter how friendly he is with Tom because it will cause issues between Mark and him and blink probably hasn't been this healthy since what 2000?

I kind of feel like if BCR actually put out another album it would be met with the same enthusiasm as if Goonies Part 2 was ever made. Super excited until you actually listen/watch it, then you'd just be bummed out.

 

Well if you listen and believe any of Tom's hype posts about the new AVA album it's fast punkish type music that's bringing him back to his roots. Of course he's been saying that since 2009 so maybe one day....

 

For joining blink and putting ak3 on hold for a couple years or another reason?

Funny I actually did the same thing last night. I made it 5 songs in and had to turn it off. That DLX album is really bad. Still ready for the buzz to pick up though.
