Loooooove Up All Night. One of my favorite blink songs.

 

I always had a passing interest and learnt about 10 songs from around 2000-05 albums leading into a festival where I was seeing them. But then they dropped off my radar til Skeebs joined them. But this album has been fun
Been smashing it and Tash Sultana CDs all day

 

When Your Heart Stops Beating is an okay album with a few really great songs and a whole load of filler.

Think that the whole album feels like they're not sure of the project, in the sense of "Craig does vocals, but only on like one song" and "the title track is super upbeat but nothing else is"

But No It Isn't and Make You Smile are some of the most emotional songs Mark has ever done and I would like to see more of that.

Also blink should start playing the title track live because it's a really good blink-182 song.

I would totally not be opposed to to Blink adding a +44 song to the set list. Lots of bands do similar, and they don't have the issue of Tom being in the band to stop them. Title track would be great. Nice little change.

 

I’d be very happy for blink to chuck When Your Heart Stops Beating, Lycanthrope, Baby Come On and Cliff Diving. So many blink tracks I’d swap most of their current setlists with to.

I’ve seen them 4 times 04, 10, 12 and 16 and I have no desire to see them again with such a stagnant setlsit.

(I totally get why they keep the set fairly similar tour after tour, just leaves no real desire to see them again but I no doubt will, haha)

 

Baby Come On with Matt singing the chorus would fit in very well with California. That's one I would love for them to bring back.

They’re different sounds and different bands. Kind of hard to compare the two. The only similarity is one band member.

Both pop-punk bands with two vocalists last time I checked. Are you saying you can't compare bands unless they share all the same members? lol.

 

Apples and oranges man. They may both be pop punk bands but their styles and sounds have pretty much always been different. Blink has always been bright, simplistic fun pop punk. Alkaline Trio is more of a moody, darker sound.

I did not say they can only be compared if they have all the same members. I said the only similarity between these two albums is Matt Skiba. Don’t twist my words.

 

Eh I'll be fine if blink gives me summer albums like that and Trio gives me albums like this when the nights are just starting to cool off. I loved blink for blink before Skiba was in it, if Trio is around I don't want much Trio in blink tbh.

 

Exactly. Why on earth would you want them to sound the same? That would get super old.

 

Trio in blink would be just as bad as blink in Trio.

Let me tell you guys something: I can’t stand alkaline trio, but this new album of theirs is 10x better than California

 

You could just not listen to California, like the rest of us who don’t like it. You don’t need to rehash your disklike for it all of the time.
