  1. Lol oops. Solid ref with Party on apocalypse. That song (and entire record for that matter) rips. Best record of theirs since NWAF

Yeah and then they have songs like Home Is Such A Lonely Place and San Diego. Kind of like they're having mid-life crisis where they want to go back to being young again and then talk about mature subjects. But the band has always been like that I guess minus the Untitled album.

I think so. Pretty sure that lineup was the 2nd time I saw them at that venue so it would've been for that record

So that Sam Pura dude who keeps bringing up how awful Feldman is responded to me in a thread on reddit when I posted that blog about him being a douchebag. Funny thing is, he doesn't deny any of it happening, in fact he justifies not having the "patience" if the band isn't on the ~level or working with the budget~ he wants.

    r/Blink182 - Sam Pura’s thoughts on Feldmann

Anyway, he also says Feldman's "main concern is getting songwriting publishing credits to increase his revenue. He hires easily impressionable young engineers to work on these records for very low wages and enforces a “get it done” mindset.
The sonic quality and originality suffers because of this.

Simply put... the main concern is money. Not art with longevity."

I actually believe him and don't disagree with the points he's making based on what we've seen and heard, not only with blink, but with a bunch of bands he's worked with the past few years, but this Sam guy is also clearly a real asshole.

I agree they’re pretty cookie cutter songs, but some are really good considering what their output had been recently.

Feldmann's done things like this for a while. Some years ago when he started a new label he had a contest to design the logo and I wanna say the prize was like 50 bucks or something and basically just the satisfaction of knowing Feldmann was using something you did lol

  10. People really stress about Blink-182 too much.

Not too sure. I’ll try find out
What made it worse. 25 ppl watching and Hawthorne heights supported. So double headline basically. Mest were fun. Hawthorne were boring and it was the sleeping album anniversary which is my fave

hawthorne played first at my date, probably about 200-300 there for them. the ataris played last and they sounded pretty terrible for some reason that night. really thinned out to about 25-50 for them.

Anyone here listen to the Blink-155 podcast? They just had their one year episode and at the end their guest revealed that Mark and Travis are the only ones listed legally at the owners of Blink-182. No Tom. No Matt. I think we all already suspected that but he pretty much confirmed it.

I’m not surprised about Matt but legitimately surprised that Tom doesn’t have any ownership with blink, if that is true. Seems like something he wouldn’t/shouldn’t give up.

I mean it was public knowledge that they were going through a "friendly divorce" with Tom. Tom always says all he has to do is make a phone call and he's back in - but showing there's no ownership anymore I doubt that's the case. They touch on it pretty good.

I always figured the agreement was Tom lets Mark/Travis continue to use the blink name without him and tour, sell merch and make new music and he gets a percentage of the cut.

I will have to check out the podcast, thanks.
