Tbh I'm not going unless there is a minimum of 6 Elvis covers.

My point is- the greatest hits shows for the casual fans, the throwback ones for the people that stopped listening over a decade ago

There aren't many fans who tuned out after Enema of The State unless they were casual. There really is no logic not to do all singles in Vegas and deep cut shows on tour

Having experienced way too many blink shows and fans these past few years, there is no doubt in my mind they'd sell out album shows to the hardcore fans. Those collectors spend insane amounts of money on just merch alone. People would travel without hesitation.

If I'm understanding correctly, for each weekend it could go:

    Night 1: album
    Night 2: general setlist

I know plenty. Oldheads who were into the early stuff and grew up and didnt want to hear songs about mom and dad on TOYPAJ

That's not the majority and you know that. You can't tell me it wouldn't make more sense to have their standard set full of singles in Vegas and tour deeper cuts.

I never got into Dude Ranch, TOYPAJ, Enema at all.

I mean the majority are rabid enough to stick with them through anything

    Things have changed.

They seem to be pretty averse to learning new songs, so I would seriously temper expectations for any sort of promised deep cuts setlist.

At this point, it honestly just seems to be minimum effort when it comes to the live performance. They're older and don't want to learn 20 new old songs. They also physically (except maybe Travis) realistically can't do more than 70 minutes. It's a bummer, but it's what it is.

Can we agree they’re a novelty band yet?

Seriously though it's not surprising either way. If fans are serious enough to plan a trip to Vegas just to see them, it makes sense to follow a standard GH show with a "special" set of some sort the follow night to entice them to buy tickets for multiple shows. I would be more inclined to shell out more money on them if I knew I would get something different from night to night, regardless of what that is.

1999: heard ATST all the time at waterparks when I was a little child and like it
2003: Downloaded Feelin This and I Miss You from the Pepsi free iTunes song downloads
2006: Bought WDNTW and then untitled. After this, bought the old albums haha.

Still surprised you’re not into any of those 3 albums but makes sense based off of when you became a fan.

Those Pepsi Smash songs are great though, love the way they used to slow down the bridge of Rock Show.

Someone get Dad (Mark) on the phone!

EDIT: I tweeted him, the band account, and Travis with this idea.

You think the band could last playing two sets though? They’ve been pretty reluctant so far...

I’d definitely be there though haha! Even better if the fans voted on the set list.

  24. Shows are at 9, off at 10:15, rest, on at 12 - It's possible!

    That’s do-able!

It’s just weird seeing artists like Dream Theater etc. play 2.5-3hr shows which are much more intensive than blinks, yet they can’t even play 2 hours. Those extra 30 minutes would allow them to squeeze in the deep cuts, keeping the hardcore and casual listeners happy.
