If Tom wasn't interested enough to even listen to final mixes I'm sure they just felt lucky to have what they had

 

I'm sure after the amount of time it took and what a chore it was to finish, they were just ready to call it done. Not like they were taking their time to make it a great as possible like the untitled record; they took so long because they were having a tough time collaborating. haha. Pretty sure the only reason they even wrote those songs together at the end is because they finally had a contractual deadline.

 

They literally turned in the album at the last possible minute the record label set as their deadline. They didn't have any time to scrap the other songs and work together. But yeah the big question is if they knew the way they were recording wasn't working why the hell not change it rather then let things keep going as is.

 

Yup, they had to cancel their European tour to finish working on the album and finished the album at the last possible second. I would love to hear each band members stories of trying to record that album and the difficulties surrounding it.

It's funny that one of the biggest problems the band had back in 2004/2005 was Tom wanted to record in different studios and send the files back and forth but Mark and Travis wanted to record in the same studio at the same time like every other band ever but in 2009,2010 and 2011 they decided to do it Tom's way for whatever reason and it turned out like it did.

 

To me, it sounds like they had to do it that way or else Tom. Is. Out.

It felt weird hearing Mark and Travis justify the choice for the recording process at the time even though you knew damn well they hated and opposed it.

 

Yeah reading articles/interviews both before Neighborhoods was released and after the band broke up again in 2015 are fascinating. Something always felt "off" to me but maybe I was just so happy they were back together that I was blinded but it's clear how much Mark and Travis were covering for Tom for the sake of the band.

I know the story was always Tom asking Mark and Travis if they wanted to get back together and play music again but I wonder how it really went down. I wonder if a bunch of their lawyers/managers got together and pitched them the idea since Tom never seemed interested or happy about the band except for the short time they were recording DED.

But like, why would Travis call Tom do an interview?

Feels like it’s nothing and Tom’s doing his weekly “I might still talk to blink and be in blink.” Just wait, his next post will ask to invest in his spaceship.

 

Maybe Travis thinks he got abducted and is looking for guidance.

 

Maybe someone is doing a documentary on Travis and obviously Tom is a big part of his life so that would make the most and obvious sense.

 

What is he even teasing about blink? Does he need to do a formal job interview to get back into blink? Just do your pyramid scheme and stop teasing blink shit to get people to buy into your lame crap already dude jesus lol.
