It was like 60 seconds on Blink. It’s gonna be hard to get a lot of details in there.

He says they're not doing anything but the chester benefit for the rest of the year. He doesn't even mention recording. He's pretty adamant that nothing is on the agenda for the rest of the year.

The year has 3 months left, not that long a break.

I wouldn't mind if they took the next 6 months off. Anything beyond that would be too long.

Yeah that's my thought process too. I wouldn't be surprised if they're back in the studio in January as Mark mentioned numerous times that he wants blink to be back on a 2 year album cycle.

Yup, plus he said they'd start on the next record at the beginning of next year.

2019 is my ideal release. Anything else might feel rushed

Weren't Enema and TOYPAJ written in a matter of weeks tho? The band is (or used to be, depending on who you ask) capable of writing quality music in a short timespan.

Yeah I think I agree with that now

Every single one of their albums except for Untitled and Neighborhoods were recorded in approximately 3 months or less.

Neighborhoods probably only took 1 weeks worth of actual work.

Quick recommendation for anyone with 52 minutes to kill, on YouTube there's a blink show from August 2003 (audio only unfortunately) where they play the Reading Festival in England. 18 song set list, playing some of the Untitled songs before the album was released. They both sound pretty good and seems like they even like each other at this point in time. The really cool thing that I found was the transitions between songs, how they go from Dumpweed to Going Away To College and Adam's Song into Reckless Abandon are interesting and just something they haven't done/don't do anymore. The set seems like they took 18 songs and just hit the random button too (minus ATST/Country Song/Dammit closing) but it opens with Family Reunion followed by WMAA, Rock Show and Feeling This are played in the middle. Anyway I'm done rumbling.

  17. Great audio, funny banter, but still only just 1 Dude Ranch song?! (I looked at the setlist) Like you said, the transitions between songs are really cool. I'm not done yet, but I'm digging it!

Yeah once TOYPAJ was released the only older songs they would play were Dammit, M+M's and Carousel during that 2001 tour. In 2002 they cut out M+M's completely but still played Dammit and Carousel. 2003 they would play M+M's and Josie as part of that 4 song Medley (along with Dumpweed and Man Overboard) while eliminating Carousel from the set completely.

So if you enjoyed listening to any pre Enema songs blame TOYPAJ for that.

I used to listen to that bootleg a lot.

My roommate would ask why I chose to listen to a band's live audio when that band is extremely shitty live and it was a fair question

  21. This will always be my favorite live recording of Blink-182, I think. Tom is fucking hilarious throughout the whole thing. Kills me every time.

It's funny how many times I've seen this band live considering the problems I have with the setlist and that they still aren't really a good live band with Skiba but dammit I'll see them every time they're in town
