DED makes me sad. It sounds like they were finally finding their creative footing by being together again and writing songs in the same studio. (I like neighborhoods but it's disjointed for sure.) Then, Tom left. :(

Neighborhoods is definitely the best post reunion album. At least every song sounds different and the production is more interesting.

Then Nine, even though I think it’s super bloated with songs that don’t need to be there.

    Then Cali, then DED.

Neighborhoods is honestly one of the worst sounding records I have ever heard. Horrendous production.

I'd take Neighborhoods mixing over the flavorless overly-bass driven sound of Nine and Cali. I love the drums on Neighborhoods. Pretty close to the Jerry Finn sound.

Okay we’re just gonna disagree then cause the drum production is what mostly pull down Neighborhoods imo haha

  12. Neighborhoods sounds like it was recorded in a wet paper bag

I love Dogs Eating Dogs, but I don’t think I can place it above Neighborhoods because of songs like Ghost on the Dance Floor and Even if She Falls.

Definitely not perfect, but I would take it over Nine and Cali every day of the week. At least it sounds different.

Nine and Cali sound lifeless. Blink always had slick production but those two crossed the line

  16. Neighborhoods sounds like a dead fart. Nine is at least a step up from California.

It was actually recorded in a Doritos bag

And California still sounds like Feldy trying to figure out how to use his Kemper and plug-ins. Hence the reason why a lot albums produced by him around that time all sound the same. Those awful, awful, awful digitized guitar tones…. Ooff. I’ll take neighborhoods guitar tones over CA any day. Still like CA more overall though.

    NINE is a major improvement.

No idea how production is being presented as a positive of Neighborhoods

I think they tried some interesting things on Neighborhoods, unfortunately most of it didn't add up to good songs

Neighborhoods is my 4th favorite album of theirs overall, easy. Aside from Snake Charmer, it's a super solid record. Just an opinion, tho.

  22. Haha Snake Charmer is one of the five or so songs I actually like on Neighborhoods.

What are your other top Blink albums? I can’t imagine putting Neighborhoods over Dude Ranch through Untitled.

But either way, like you said, it’s just an opinion.
