I’m laying in bed recovering from heart surgery earlier today, and all I can think about is Mark. This serves as a reminder that what so many of us are going through, it could be so so much worse. I’m confident Mark will beat this, if anyone’s going to it, it’s Mark, but man… my heart absolutely sunk reading this. Just devastating news. All my love to Mark, his family, his bandmates, and all of you.

 

Yeah, this is all around terrible.

Super bummed to hear this. Cancer is the worst and it affects the entire family... a very tough road to have to go down.

Also as somebody who had 2 open heart surgeries (one when I was 6 months old and another at 18), I absolutely wish you a speedy recovery with everything!!

 

My dad passed from cancer last May as well, so sorry to hear 2020 was awful in a similar way for you too. It makes this news hit closer to home

Could have sworn I remembered seeing a random ass Skiba ig caption or IG story that said fuck cancer or something months ago, completely out of context and with no other info. Cant seem to find it now tho

 

I mean there are basically two branches of modern pop punk these days - Feldmann & Travis.

 

Yeah but ... gosh the melodies on this are so predictably Feldmann's writing to the point that it's not even interesting.

 

I was just thinking about the other guys after Mark’s announcement... like between Travis’s plane crash and sporadic injuries... Tom’s health issues, with his back/painkillers and skin cancer, and now recent divorce... the general band drama... and now Mark having cancer...

These guys have been through an awful lot.

 

Major props if he can work past that panic / ptsd
