So heartbreaking. I’ve been going through the same thing for the last 3 years. Needless to say it’s a fucking living hell. At least his slightly jokey caption on IG suggests he’s in good spirits. Fuck this shit.

 

I think it was more the honesty that caught me off guard. I'd be shocked if he wasn't scared, just the straight up raw honesty really hit home for me.

 

This is horrible news. However chemo can work so absolutely there is hope he'll kick it's ass! Mt Mom passed from cancer in May 2020(making the year that much more terrible) after only finding out she had it around New Years right before. It's a silent killer and it can fuck right the hell off from Mark.

 

Until he elaborates a little more, I think I’m gonna be all over the fucking place. I’m 35 years old and since I was 13, the members of blink-182 have been invincible to me. My brain and heart doesn’t even know how to comprehend this yet.

 

Going to echo the "invincible" part here and definitely relate to your entire post. Even seeing Mark on twitch with grey hair would throw me off. This news is devastating.

Super sorry for your loss. I lost my mom as well a few years ago because of this super rare bone marrow disease. By the time they caught it, it was too late. I stand with you in solidarity. I know it’s fucking weird but you’re not alone.

 

You were the first guy I thought of after seeing marks post.

The first words I ever heard from mark was when I was eleven on a friend's sony discman.

"I know I'm pathetic, I knew when she said it"

He's the reason I wore baggy shorts, spiked my hair, cared for my mom when my dad was a dick, and picked up bass guitar. I'll never see mark as pathetic. He'll get through this.

 

I can't get through a single blink song rn without choking up. Fuck.

Travis almost dies in a plane crash and was suicidal, Tom had skin cancer and probably some other stuff going on these past couple years given the minimal details he’s given/opened up about, and now Mark has cancer and has been battling depression for quite some time.

….Fuck

 

I’m numb. This man is my musical hero. Fuck cancer.

 

Wow, another fan here who grew up on blink-182 thinking they were invincible. Hoping for the best.

 

Mark seems in generally good spirits on his Discord. I hope he’s feeling okay today after treatment.

 

Sad news
Sending some positive vibes to Mark and hoping for his full recovery.

 

It seems this news is pushing people to listen to blink, at least Apple users. Enema is in the top 200 albums on iTunes and ATST is #55 in songs.

I’ll be blasting enema today for sure. No better way to send positive vibes than to listen to positive vibe songs written by Mark.
