my opinion - I think they canceled the festivals because it’s still a pandemic and without planning an entire tour, it doesn’t make sense for them to play one off festivals given the travel requirements. I also think it could be strategic in the sense of they really milked touring from 2016-2019 so maybe they’re expecting a massive 2022 tour with more demand?…if that makes sense

Definitely possible! It seemed that they had headline shows booked in 2020 around their festival routing, but it was never confirmed if that was the case for 2021 as well.

Slowly realizing I will never heard No Heart in a live setting and that's sad. Especially sad since I never got to hear Cynical live either.

EDIT:^ My above presumptions come from the fact that it seems like they quickly retire new album songs and revert back to the Greatest Hits with sprinkled singles from the new stuff.

Id be interesting to hear a Travis produced Blink song and Mark produced Blink song back to back to compare.

You know it's funny, I kind of always felt that Matt didn't have the that type of relationship that he has with the boys in the Trio or how Mark has or had it with Travis and Tom.

I wonder if the BR/Trio tour is a go than ? Because Jay Bentley said he wasn't sure because Matt would or might be with Blink.

I have been wondering about that too. I hope so.

It’s so difficult to figure out what I want from Blink 182 in 2021. I thoroughly enjoyed California and Nine.

At the same time you see the work Tom is doing with AvA and it would be amazing to see proper Blink working together again.

But that also means California & Nine pretty much are treated as blips on the radar (zero chance Tom sings Bored to Death live, right?) and Tom finally seems to be in a good creative space.

  11. I don't really see that large a gap in production that Travis has been doing lately, and that same influence on, specifically, Nine. They seem pretty much in the same sonic wheelhouse.

This KennyHoopla album is a whole lot of fun.

Musically this Kenny album feels like he should be opening for FUCT era FOB or something. Idk the other musicians he worked with but this is way better than the other new pop punk stuff Travis has been doing recently. Sure Kenny deserves a good amount of credit for that too, I love everything he did before this

Really digging this Kennyhoopla album. I'm so down for this new fresh wave of relevant pop punk!

I feel like the new relevant pop punk band to me is Hot Mulligan.

Same only with Tom (and him playing with a Strat again).

Could be why there are only 3 AVA shows announced for 2021. Tom is busy doing the TOYPAJ 20 year tour with his strat.

This was case of seeing if seeing the band name come up in two or three places, then giving it a sample because of lockdown and being so impressed I had to get the album. You’ll Be Fine is modern pop punk to me. Very indie DIY, unapologetic, multi vocals, and just seem there for the fun of it. I had no idea that had such a following but I can see why.

Any of these artists relying on Travis aren’t the new version of pop punk…it’s more amalgamation of new and incredibly proven. Nothing wrong if you like it but Travis drumming is Blink drumming, and if you like pop punk, you likely enjoy Travis talents already so there’s a foot in the door out of the gate.

All I ask is that they put Don’t Tell Me That It’s Over on streaming.
