ohh. lol I can't seem to remember the titles to these songs, but now I remember it.

Funny, I was actually going to come back here and say that I still have a preference for the songs Tom sings, even if I have a new appreciation for Mark's voice now, but this one isn't bad.

 

I’ve always preferred Tom led songs, but when Mark sings aggressively and fast it’s pretty hard not to enjoy those songs. Stuff like pathetic, dammit, Josie, Waggy, don’t leave me, online songs, ETILFY, Hearts All Gone, Cynical, The First Time, and Generational Dive to name a few...that’s him at his best and sounds way better than Tom. Now it seems Skiba takes the reigns when the need for some more agrressive or higher register vocals are needed.

I’ve never really been a huge fan of Marks lower register either. I think his voice sounds weakest when he sings lower.

 

“Every time I look for you” is probably the best song on TOYPAJ.

“Give me one good reason” is the worst one.

 

I've always thought TOYPAJ > Enema.

 

Also, I hope we get a TOYPAJ 20 year tour.

 

I can agree to this.

 

I would buy all the merch.

 

My daughter is still listening to Please Take Me Home like 15 times a day. Now I play it for her on the guitar and she goes crazy.

 

I really love that song.

 

Underrated.

 

Aside from The Rock Show being released at the time as the first single, my summer school gym class heading into freshman year of HS used to go black light bowling everything Thursday for class. The worker at the bowling alley played Please Take Me Home alllll the time and eventually played most of the album while 3 gym classes were there. We found out the album leaked and he had burned songs on a cd for work mix haha. PTMH was technically the first song I heard that wasn’t a single. I’ll never forget thinking “hey that sounds like Tom!”

Always prefer Mark lead songs to lead Tom or Matt I’m Blink. My favourite is probably when they share vocal duties in a song though.

I will add I prefer Matt lead To Dan in Alk3, but again songs they share vocals on are my favourite.

 

Dan has such a unique voice so I usually find his songs to be more interesting to me.

 

I find Matt and Dan both have distinctly identifiable voices that compliment each other. Guess I just enjoy lots of multi vocalist bands. Just adds a layer of dynamics.

Not mention his songs have been a lot stronger than Matt's lately.

 

Was true for me Agony through Shame. Definitely not on Cursed though

 

Matt kills it on ITTC?. I'd say they both equally shine on Good Mourning though, which is why its my favorite Alkaline Trio album.

 

True, I'd say on This Addiction as well. I will say Dan does have stand outs on Cursed though.

 

Oh yeah I said through, I'm including Addiction. Like plenty of Matt songs from those but he has a bunch of my least favorite Trio songs on those records. Every album has Matt songs that I'd drop for the Dan b-sides lol.

 

It's funny because the entire Broken Wing EP would have worked on My Shame.

 

Really, really wish they had recorded Hearts All Gone with the trade off vocals they used to do live.

 

Dude Ranch is 23 today so nobody can like it.

 

Dude Ranch is such a good summer album.
