Happy Days and Wish I Hated You are definitely the two worst tracks imo

Sure they are. Both are duos, side projects, synth pop, and use electronic drum beats. First thing I thought of when I first heard about SC was Postal Service lol.

 

musically they don’t sound similar at all. Just because they have electronic influences doesn’t mean they’re the same

This was a really interesting read. But I think this guy is trying too hard to make Blink sound like assholes. The reality of the situation is that Filter wasn't really a record label and there was no contract ever written. When Blink got signed to Cargo the label was probably just like "Yeah, no we own the masters now and we're not paying your high school bud."
Sounds like the Blink boys could've communicated with the guy a little better, though.

 

If it were up to me I would end the album with On Some Emo Shit. I think it's cool that the favorites and skippable tracks are very different. It means they provided a diverse body of work on this record. I don't think it's a bad song, it's just not my taste personally.

 

But ending on Emo Shit cuts Hungover You, and that song flippityflappitysmacks or whatever the kids these days say

 

To me, the last two songs on the album are easily the best.

 

Exactly, to all of this. The dude posting in there seems to definitely hold grudges, for some reason. But either way, very interesting stories that I've never heard before.

It just occurred to me that I haven't really returned to NINE in a couple weeks, but I find myself listening to Simple Creatures constantly.
