Wow that's surprising. Maybe it was just my section but at my show it felt like everyone went nuts for Enema. All I heard was the crowd singing during Mutt.

 

That’s not what I meant. I was wondering if during the years between DED and Tom leaving if Mark ever wrote songs on his own that he intended to use for a blink album with Tom that never came to be. Hard to imagine between Neighborhoods in 2011 and California in 2016 that he wrote one song intended for blink (Dogs Eating Dogs title track)

 

I Really Wish I Hated You has been hitting me HARD this week. I'm happy its growing on me. Super easy song to listen to and its catchy. Perfect for overcast weather

Someone on Reddit today was talking about the Dude Ranch demo tape that exists somewhere in the world, and there was mention of a song on it that was never released, which I had no idea existed!


blink 182 historian (who was part of their crew) DaveyJones said that on this recording there is the demo of dammit originally titled dammit dammit sonofabitch (Beavis and Butthead quote) and i'm sorry

(he heard this demo in Mark's car back in 1996)

the only guy who seems to have the demo also said that there is an unreleased song on it

It's a Tom song with a rad Tom/Mark dueling vocals breakdown. My best guess is they found it too similar to another song on the record? The Mark line was "It's too late, it got dark, one more day has gone by me" over and over again and then Tom comes in with "I'm not waking up today, I'd just rather stay in bed"

 

So I guess now I need to ask Tom about this unreleased Dude Ranch song today!!!

I would be shocked if he didn't, I mean the band was literally two weeks away from going into the studio to start the recording process to the follow up to Neighborhoods when Tom quit again. I can't see any of them going into the studio with no ideas or nothing they had been working on.

 

Also ask him to release the freaking Dude Ranch demo tape along with the TOYPAJ and Untitled ones. And the Untitled 10 Year Anniversary shows they recorded.

 

Yes, I will give him a list of demands. Hopefully he has them all with him so he'll take me outside, burn me copies of them all, and then let me have them. GOD COULD YOU IMAGINE IF IT WERE THAT EASY?!?! haha

 

I like Remember better than Please Take Me Home, as a closer anyways

Part of me wishes blink would do a tour where they'd play two shows in each city-- one in an arena with a normal setlist, and one in a club/theater where they only play deep cuts or album plays.

It'd never happen, but it'd be cool.
