I love how there hasn’t been a single antiFeldmann post since this album came out lol

 

he learned from his mistakes, that's for sure.

 

Mark's delivery on the chorus seems a lot slower.

 

They're definitely the same vocal. But the leak has an obvious change in quality. The real version (like what's on Spotify) sounds brighter and cleaner, and that might be what's making it sound more energetic to you. Shrug.

MNF did the band really well.

#19 on the iTunes Charts for the song now, #2 for the album. That's cool.

 

It's actually the Spotify version that seems slower to me. Convinced that the leak I grabbed last week up'ed the BPM. Oh well doesn't bother me just threw me off in that I had an easier time keeping up with his lyrics

 

My ears were fucked for like 3 days after! I’ve been to several shows there before but never had it happen. I also think my ears were extra sensitive because I was up in the mountains that day.

However, my ear plugs arrived! I ordered the “Eargasm” brand. Reviews seemed good!

 

This has been my favorite part of the album. I love the production and am just so shocked by how much I love it. This album is my non stop go to until Hello Exile!

 

Chicago AVA was incredibly loud too.

 

Tom likes loud. I saw Boxcar and NFG in a small club in Boston and it killed my ears more than any other show I went to lol

 

Is there actually a difference in the NINE leak vs. the retail version? I am pretty certain the leak I had was a FLAC rip of the CD. Not sure much could change.

 

There's no differences. The leak definitely came from someone who got a shipment of CDs in at a store a week early, or whatever. The only thing that's different is the sound quality.

 

I am still playing through this album multiple times a day. The more familiar I am with it the more I enjoy it as a full record. I really hope the TwitchCon show is the greatest hits with 5 or more new songs. I'll be bummed if it is Enema and a few hits now that NINE is out.

 

I think they are officially done with the Enema shows now, so hopefully we can start hearing more of NINE live.

 

I just looked at the Twitch curated playlist for the show and all the Blink songs are from NINE. Hyped!!

I think my bundle is now on mine too! They initially sent an email Friday saying the clothing was going to be delayed but then sent an email saying everything shipped so who knows!

 

I think First Time is a safe bet for them to play live once they start consistently playing NINE songs. I think Heaven would be really good live and Pin The Grenade would bring a lot of crowd energy.

 

Darkside, Generational Divide, Pin the Grenade, Emo Shit, and Hungover You are the only songs I think I’d be happy to see in the live rotation. A lot of songs on Nine have such layered production and sound like they’d take such a toll on their voices that I’m not sure how well most of the album would translate live. They can cut all the California songs if they want. Bored to Death is fun enough, and maybe Cynical.

 

Man No Heart is gonna be hard to sing live

 

As much as I love Matt there is no way he pulls that one off live lol

 

“Black Rain” seems like it’ll be hard to pull off live too, but I’d like to see how they go about it.

 

Buuuuttt The First Time is going to go off live - might be most excited to see that
