Quite a bit of post production going on with the MNF show haha

 

Well that’s the best sounding live performance since the Mark, Tom, and Travis show...big hand for the post production team! Haha.

Oh well, great spot for them!

 

Good for them. Yeah, MNF over produces these things to feel like music videos, but it’s part of their production. For the length of the feature, I feel like Blame It On My Youth would have more of the football energy vs I Really Wish I Hated You, but who cares.

 

Notice something new every time I listen to this album - Mark’s bass riff during Skiba’s vocals in Pin the Grenade (right after My God...) - *Chefs Kiss*

 

Hmm...Blink 182 has a new album out and Jimmy Eat World will have a new album out in October. Please tour together.

 

Anyone having any sound issues with the hot splatter vinyl? On mine, side A was flawless, but side B (the better half of the album imo) has pops and crackles all over it. Parts of IRWIHY and RTFM are damn near unlistenable.

 

Got my vinyl today. Haven't opened it yet to listen, but hopefully soon I'll get the opportunity.

 

Lol blink is 1 on itunes right now and I noticed the reviews. 406 for blink, 3.5 stars. 545 for Zac Brown, 2 stars. Why do I suspect blink fans. Or can you only review something if you buy it?

 

Not only do you not have to buy it, you can review it when only one song is available lmao

 

I can't say I'm hearing this either, I think Matt comes in with a higher/different harmony (?) but Mark's singing the lead vocals the same as the previous two choruses

 

After the part in the chorus of Remember to Forget Me where he sings "All the nights that you end up all alone" my brain fills in "six feet under the staaars" every single time

It's like the exact same melody

 

And the wait continues!

Looks like the Monday Night Football performance generated some buzz. The song was close to 200 yesterday. Darkside is also in the iTunes 200 (154)

 

So this morning while listening to the album I was thinking to myself "I am really glad they didn't name the album Bojmir." Doesn't fit to have a joke title for the album.

 

Bored to Death was such a good first single.

I loved Blame it on my Youth but the push for it was weird. No music video or anything. Seemed really muted.

Darkside I feel had a lot of potential but that music video did them no favours and I don't think they played it on live TV or anything.

Personally it would've been my choice for the MNF performance because it's a better "live" song.

Overall the single roll out has been weird.

 

I know this has already been said by some, but I actually really like Ransom. As far as the "short" songs go, I think I prefer it to Generational Divide.

 

Both shorter songs are fantastic.

I don't know why, but last night I did a twitter search of ‘Blink-182’ during halftime of MNF and wow, most of Twitter either A) has no idea they’re still making music or B) were furious they weren't playing 'the hits.'

Not that I expected any less. Surprisingly, I didn't see any 'Where's Tom?' comments.

Also, really wish they didn't cut out the best part of the song where Matt comes in at the end with the "won't you say something'
