Just bought some ear plugs for shows. After the AVA show Sunday night my ears have felt more sensitive than they ever have before. So I’m doing it. Getting the earplugs.

EDIT: ugh relistening and looking at the verse's lyrics as a whole, it's definitely arsonist. D'oh!

Yes! I went to my first concert (Fall Out Boy) when I was 14, and immediately realized I couldn't hear that well with all the acoustic noise going on. Bought some Hearos earplugs, and never looked back. From going to shows, to guitar practice, I could never imagine listening to/performing live music without it.

 

Hungover You is definitely my favorite now after listening to this a bunch. It's hard to pick though, the back half of this is super stacked

 

I keep going back to a lot of the non-singles first, but On Some Emo Shit and Run Away are standouts for me right now with No Heart To Speak Of not far behind.

 

I'm really interested in hearing your thoughts on the album once you do listen to it. If I remember correctly, you disliked California and the Deluxe songs right?

I really wish i was - my worry was that Mark's voice would be bad since it's the end of tour but he has sounded great in the live videos from the past few nights.

It's simultaneously better AND worse than I thought, haha.

 

Honestly I thought there were LESS songs free of them, so I was surprised

 

It’s hard to beat Anthem and Please Take Me Hone as album closers for me, but Remember To Forget Me is right up there. Perfect closing track, IMO.

The subtle hip-hop influences throughout the album work better than I ever imagined.

 

Hot take: I think "The First Time" may be my least favorite Blink-182 opening track.

BUT I like the song, don't get me wrong!
