The show in MA, IMO, was packed. Solid crowd in the lawn and we all enjoyed singing out.

My girls LOVED hearing Adams Song.

Just upgraded to the first section behind pit. Had lawn tickets. $80 total for two seats right behind pit ($20 lawn, $20 upgrade).

That’ll offset the VIP cost in my brain.

Well, first depends if we're talking about selling your organs legally or via the black market. The biggest-ticket organ you can legally sell in the U.S. is your heart: They're going for a cool $1 million. Livers come in second, worth about $557,000 and kidneys fetch about$262,000 each.Aug 19, 2014

Alright slow enough I’m gonna try to get these out. I hope @bradsonemanband does the same. I will admit I’m gonna be overly biased on this album.

    UNTITLED

    Feeling This:
My favorite blink-182 song ever. It’s an incredible opener for this album, and has everything I want from this band. Great riffs, a cool intro, a ton of energy, dual vocals from Tom and Mark. Not to mention that intertwining outro where you have Mark and Tom’s vocals wrapping around each other (Fate Fell short/ are we alone do you feel it?) leading into the music fading out and the vocals taking front stage. Fantastic.

    Obvious:
Another great track. This one has this really cool kick to it, and Tom sounds awesome on this song. I also like how you think the song is over and they do this little rewind thing and it just kicks back up for just a little while. It’s great.

    I Miss You:
This is a song that I point to when people complain about BIOMY, Along with Feeling This. If you compare this to their older work, this song stands out like a sore thumb but in the best way possible, showing some of their growth and progression. These days it’s held pretty high by the bands fans. I think it sounds great live too. A catchy song to sing along to, I have a special place in my heart for this song since it was our first dance for me and my wife at our wedding.

    Violence:
Tom continues to show how much he has improved on this album with this song. The intro is great, and when thy guitar kicks in it launches off into this cool song. The bridge with Mark’s whispers diluted into the music is cool, and the chorus is great. I used to not like it as much live though but Matt has injected some much needed vitality into it on their sets.

    Stockholm Syndrome Interlude:
Cool little interlude, almost gives off a haunting vibe to it. I like the backstory behind it too. Moving on.

    Stockholm Syndrome:
This song is one of my favorites on the album and a top 5 blink song for me for sure. It has this ferocious bite to it that not many blink songs had or have had since. The exchange between Tom and Mark in the chorus is exceptional, and Mark sounds great in the verses; especially the explosive back half of the second verse which I know Mark will never be able to top again. Telling Mark is good Mark, I wish we’d get more of that.

    Down:
I like this song on the album, but in an album of great songs it tends to be lower on the list for me. It’s still a great song, and I like it in context of the album. Tom really does great on this one though I will admit. It is boring live though, leave it off (except the current acoustic version I like the way they do that one)

    The Fallen Interlude:
There’s a lot of albums I hate interludes on. This one however I like, and if anyone skips this interlude I don’t get it. It’s great. And somehow catchy.

    Go:
Excellent fast paced song, and one of two on this album where you can kind of see where Mark wanted to go in the direction he eventually went with +44. The chorus is an ear worm despite being so simple and the verses have a lot of emotional heart to them.

    Asthenia:
Just how you could see +44 in go, this song kind of shows how Tom wanted to go and very much sounds like a basework for Angels And Airwaves. That being said, this song beats any AvA song. The chorus is the best part of the song, and I like the riffs and the verses too. This is there with down though as a middle ground song on an excellent album.

    Always:
Another great single. This song is Tom at his prime, and one of my favorite Tom songs over their entire discography. The chorus is damn catchy, the drum intro is great. The verses also play off the energy of the chorus really well too. Another important song to me, my wife and I were introduced at the wedding reception to this song.

    Easy Target:
If there’s one other song on this album that beats Stockholm Syndrome in its bite, it’s this one. Breakneck of a song. I love the trade off between mark and Tom in the verses, and the chorus is one of Mark’s best. This also imo has some of the best riffs on the album and good lord Travis’ drumming on this one is amazing. I also am a huge fan of how it exists and plays right into...

    All Of This:
...the next song. The way this song takes the melody for Easy Target and takes it down to a slower level with the acoustic guitar is fantastic. I love Robert Smith’s feature on the verses here. Tom sounds great on the chorus. These two are a great 1-2 punch.

    Here’s Your Letter:
A vastly underrated song, and another one that you can kind of hear the start of +44 in. This is another top tier blink song for me, and one that I love to return to. Everything from musically to vocally about this song great, and is really a gem in Hoppus’ career imo. They need to play this live more often.

    I’m Lost Without You:
A great closer to a great album. The spinning mic vocal effect for Tom really boosts the appea of his vocals in this track. Some of his best guitar work, I feel. Also another one that shows the AvA style tom wanted to do, but excels over that band. It’s a great bookend to the album, and the outro for it is top notch.

    Bonus-
    Not Now:
I was always amazed this song got left off of the album. It should have been in the track list before ILWY, and no songs cut. This is a great song, and top tier blink that is left to a b-side. The lyrics are some of the best Tom has written, the chorus is very catchy and memorable, and that first verse is sung perfectly. I also love when Mark comes in for backing vocals for the final chorus, as well as that bass solo in the bridge. Excellent song.

Overall, I love this album obviously. This is not only my favorite blink album but my favorite album by any band. It’s a shame they went on hiatus because I’d kill to hear what a proper successor to this album would have been. I still believe this is peak blink, and they won’t ever top this album.

Last night’s MA tour poster was meh. However at the end of the show we walked over to the merch table and seeing it is person it looked much better. I convinced myself I’d get it ... and the person in front of me got the last one lol.

It was alright since I didn’t actually love the poster.

Would have liked to get All Of This with Mark singing Robert Smith's parts as a B side to one of the Untitled singles. I think that would have been a cool alternative song.

Reading this just further solidifies it (for me) as their absolute best album. Peak blink indeed...

I'm pretty sure that it was left off the album because it wasn't finished in time. The band literally worked up until midnight of the day of their album deadline listening to mixes before sending it off to be pressed.

Honestly I don't see where it would fit in with the other tracks on the album. I think the only place it fits is as the closer and just dump I'm Lost Without You (I think ILWY is one of the weaker songs but fits well as the closer). Otherwise I feel like it ruins the pacing of the album.

    Neighborhoods:

    Ghost on the Dance Floor:
I have a huge soft spot for this song. When this album came out, my uncle had just passed and my first listen was driving out of state for his funeral. The way this song hit my feels on that car ride is something I’ve never felt duplicated. As a song, I love the guitar, and Mark’s backing vocals truly sell this song as a return for blink. The chorus is really emotional and hits hard.

    Natives:
Despite the fact that this song recycles AvA’s Young London a bit, it’s one of my favorites from the album. Tom’s verses are my favorite part of the song, with this great energy behind them. I also like Mark’s chorus, which sound great especially with Tom’s backing vocals behind them. Musically this song is great too, despite the recycled riff.

    Up All Night:
The first single of the post reunion blink. It took forever for this song to finally come out (and you think the wait for an album announcement for this new one is bad ha). I do like this song quite a bit though I don’t return to it as often as I used to. This is also one of the songs where some of the problems show up from this album. I usually love the trade off verses between Tom and Mark, but this one kind of feels stiff as opposed to something like Everytime I Look For You, or the chorus Of Stockholm Syndrome.

    After Midnight:
A beautiful gem on this album. The guitar is great, the drumming is great. Tom sounds excellent on the verses and Mark nails the chorus. This is one of my favorites from this album, and one I will always return to. This is the type of energy the whole album should have had. I would also like this to be played live again at some point, although I know this unlikely.

    Snake Charmer:
On one hand, I commend this song for sounding neither like blink or their side projects (+44 or AvA) but on the other hand, this is one of my lower tracks. I fully admit I love the harmonizing Mark does on the bridge and the guitar sounds cool though.

    Hearts All Gone interlude:
A pretty good interlude actually, I like to listen to it and less into HAG, it has this cool eerie build up to the song, and it almost feels like an alternate version of the song if you put the lyrics over it.

    Hearts All Gone:
Classic throwback song. This song rips, and I will defend it forever. Mark sounds great, I like the lyrics (especially the ‘black jack and architect’ verse). Travis is on point with the drumming. I got to be at the show where they played it live twice to film the video for it, and it was a cool experience as well. Tom’s backing vocals in the chorus enhance Mark well on this too.

    Wishing Well:
Another great song, although it tip toes the line of sounding a lot like AvA. However I would be remiss if I didn’t admit it’s a cool song with a great chorus, and an odd love note to returning to the band from Tom, even if it wasn’t long lived. Also the intro guitar is great.

    Kaleidoscope:
I used to love this song when the album came out. I do find in these days I return to it far less now though. I like it well enough, but it’s middle tier blink if not lower end compared to their discog as a whole.

    This Is Home:
I always skip this song unless it’s full album listens. I don’t know why, but I think it’s one of their worst songs. Not a fan of it at all, and the verses on this song actually kind of grate me. One of their bottom 5 songs in my book.

    MH 4.18.2011:
An OK song, but it’s just OK. This is definitely a song better suited for +44, and while I like the chorus, the song as a whole barely works for me. I let it play when it comes on but I don’t pick it when I’m choosing songs. Definite middle of the road on this album, and lower end on the whole scope of blink

    Love Is Dangerous:
Meh. Very meh song. I like it instrumentally though, and I like Mark’s lines in the chorus intertwining with Tom. Aside from that though, I’m not a huge fan of this song. It kind of falls between MH and This Is Home for me. Not as bad as This Is Home, but not middle ground like MH, save for the redeeming factors I mentioned.

    Fighting the Gravity:
Another weak track in my eyes. It’s not terrible, and I commend them for trying something different. Honestly I imagine this is what lp2 Of +44 would have been, it kind of reminds me of Weatherman a bit. That being said, it’s an experiment song that needed a bit more work.

    Even If She Falls:
This song is classic blink sounding IMO, and one of the best tracks on this album. The guitars are great, Tom builds up from verse to chorus nicely, and the chorus is catchy. This is a good album closer, and a song I feel definitely is underrated because of the album it’s on. It’s a shame to think it hasn’t ever got played live to the best of my knowledge. My wife has the songs title tattooed on her arm because of how much she enjoys the song.

Overall, this is an OK album that definitely has its gems. It’s much stronger on the front half, except the closer. I feel like this album could have been a lot better if they worked in the same studio and made some different choices. As it stands now, it’s a good fall/winter album, it’s a bit disjointed and the production is a bit wonky. I don’t hate it though.

    Bonus round!

    DOGS EATING DOGS

    When I Was Young:
I actually really like this song. The verses are really good and filled with some emotions that a lot of us can relate to (‘the world it was smaller/buildings were taller/ parents seemed stronger). The chorus is pretty dang catchy too and definitely sounds like blink-182. My only gripe about this song is the intro, it’s a bit long.

    Dogs Eating Dogs:
My favorite song on the EP. It totally sounds like +44 featuring Tom DeLonge but I’m okay with that. The guitars are fierce, Mark sounds great, Tom adds a nice kick in the chorus. Travis’ drumming is pretty good too. It’s a fun song with a good kick to it.

    Disaster:
Kind of a meh song. I like the chorus to it, namely the deep Mark vocals behind it, but the verses don’t really stick well. I don’t generally return to this song all that often. I know some people like it a lot, and I don’t necessarily hate it but it’s not that great either.

    Boxing Day:
This song has become a holiday staple for me. I actually like this one, the acoustics are great. I like Toms verses especially (yaaatom bawb yat all hours). Mark does a good job on the chorus too. The outro is nice too. I don’t listen to it very often due to the holiday thematic but it comes out of hiding in December and gets played often in that month.

    Pretty Little Girl:
This is actually a decent song. It’s a sincere song from Tom to his wife, and verses and chorus are really good. It’s hurt only by the Yelawolf feature (I commend them for trying it though) in my opinion. I don’t think it gells well with the song lyrically all that much and Yelawolf is capable of much better. Almost feels like tacked on last minute. Everything around it though is actually really great stuff.

Overall not much I can say about the EP. it’s a quick listen with some good moments, but I don’t go back to it really at all these days.
