  1. That’s kinda what I’m getting at. I can either believe them or think they’re lying to me. I think I’m gonna choose to believe them for the moment. Dunno, feel like with all the bad shit going on out there these days I can choose not to need to be cynical about the bands I like if I can help it. If they cancel their shows, that’d be a real bummer, cause I know a lot of people that wanna go. So I hope they don’t. I hope they’re a lot of fun and people enjoy them.

(If they wanted to lie and were in the “let’s lie to everyone” mode ... saying it was a health issue would have been they way to go to avoid any criticism.)

I mean you have a valid question, but I don't necessarily think that I'm being cynical. I'm looking at the fact of low ticket sales only 3 days before the event, and I think I am being realistic about what is really going on here. They would be playing to an arena about 20% full if they did not postpone the show.

Blink is one of my favorite bands of all time, but I don't think they are exempt from lying to fans. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.

  3. I don’t now how to view “the band is lying to everyone” as not the definition of cynical.

An arena at 20% full is still a lot of people they’re lying to and letting down if that’s the case. Maybe Lil Wayne has an issue or wants off the tour? There’s a lot of things that could fall under production issues at this point. I just think all the people hoping the shows get canceled is weird mixed with no one believing the band when I don’t really see a reason to not give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe not meeting a minimum sold tickets is a production issue. I dunno. I just found all the cynicism from so many people ... weird .. given this band and their lighthearted and fun roots. Now so much of it seems to be anger and .. I can’t come up with a better word than “cynicism” so I keep using it.

  4. I think there’s a lot of people upset that they chose to tour with Lil Wayne and charge higher prices than normal, and somehow these people think that if blink has to cancel the tour, their opinions become validated.

Anyway if you actively root for bad things to happen to Blink you can eat me

i haven’t seen too many people openly hoping for the cancellation of the tour.

i, like many others i’m guessing, am hoping for reduced ticket prices and possibly venue downgrades.

I dont know why you're so surprised given the amount of people who comment on wanting Tom back in the band still lol Seems like a decently cynical fan base to me and touring with Lil Wayne seemed to piss off those same "fans".

  12. I know, I guess I just don’t know when/where that happened cause I apparently missed it. Even with the band’s last release I was enjoying fun summer songs and kinda missed the whole reddit backlash (since I don’t read reddit much at all anyway). Guess, I’m just sorta commenting on how I feel like my fandom with the band remains in the “they’re a fun band of goofs that make fun music to listen to” and sometimes I don’t get why people that feel the way they post are still fans of the band when it seems like they’re .. not really.

That’s fair. I would agree with what other users have said here, though. I don’t think any of us want the tour to get cancelled. Reduced ticket prices would be nice.

I just bought tickets to the July 3 (next week) show a few days ago. I definitely do not want it to be postponed or cancelled.

lol my bad it says that right in the first sentence of the tweet.

  15. I’ve seen a lot. From the day they announced it to today.

Most dates have had reduced prices, have they not? They’re cheaper here at least. I think at this point in time changing venues would be highly unlikely if not impossible.

I haven’t seen Lil Wayne promoting the tour much, but if he drops off, that’s where I’d see it being canceled. Otherwise, they all still seem excited for it from what I can tell.

I don't want the tour to be cancelled, if Lil Wayne wasn't on the tour I don't think ticket prices would be so steep.

I don’t know about most dates but the prices have yet to drop for the Cleveland date. It’s still almost a month away though.

I mean I don't look at any of this as blatant lying or anything to be offended about, it's just PR like usual for any artist

Yeah the tickets for Ridgefield have fallen, but are still overpriced. Only Lawn tickets have been cut to fit the tours actual demand.

I think everyone involved took a risk and thought them + Lil Wayne could draw well enough to charge those prices.

I’m obviously a life long & significant fan, however, if I didn’t get tickets for free I would NOT be spending $100 to see them from a mile away at an Amphitheatre on a Wednesday night lol. The prices are main problem.

I don't think they are being blatant, no artist in their right mind would admit to cancelling a tour due to poor ticket sales lol
