It was definitely someone's dope idea to have mark under the whole verse. I thought that was rad. The staccato guitars in the outro is pretty new territory for blink so that was someone's idea. I get it. Song and video rules.

 

I actually like the way they used Matt’s vocals. It’s strong and intense sounding.

 

I hope they do some cool transitional stuff between tracks, nothing fancy or trying to match Untitled or anything, just to like make the album flow nicely

 

Like Enema's transitions between some songs. For example: "Adam's Song" into "All The Small Things."

California definitely lacked any cool transitional stuff between songs.

 

Totally. It seemed like California had a 2-4 second pause between each song so there was really no flow at all.

 

It absolutely didn't, I'm still not sure if I'm going to dig the album or not because I wasn't the biggest fan of BIOMY and GD thus far. It's nice to see them doing different things this time around though.

 

Best transitions are Going Away into WMAA, Adam’s Song into ATST, Roller Coaster into Reckless and Easy Target into All Of This.

 

Especially that last one

 

Just saying the word depressing doesn't have to mean it in the clinical sense. Like if someone says "isn't it depressing when you want cereal and you've run out of milk?" I don't think they're making light of mental health problems. It's just a synonym for sad too.

 

Generational Divide is really solid!

 

After blasting it like 10 times in a row just now I think it might be my fave blink 3.0 song. Maybe BTD is JUST a little better but I like it way more than everything else on Cali. V good.

Yeah I got my pink vinyl yesterday. It’s very pretty, I spun side b and it sounded great.

 

Don’t know if this was posted yet, but according to Mark, the album was mixed by Manny Marroquin, Serban Ghenea, Neal Avron, Rich Costey, and Zakk Cervini

I expect some some diverse sounds given that list of names.

 

If any of the songs on the album are longer than 49 seconds I’m going to flip the fuck out.

 

Just had the thought that the album art might involve a ghetto blaster. I only thought that from the stage setup.

 

Blame It On My Youth confirmed to be edited down to 37 seconds for the album version.
