Most excited for Petal, La Dispute, PWR BTTM, Pet Symmetry, Free Throw, American Opera and Slingshot Dakota. There's so much to discover on this lineup. Going to be a ton of fun going through this.

Completely forgot there was a band named Del Paxton. I'm also kind of surprised there's not a band named "The O'Nedders".

My buddy plays in the band JOYS, so check out their first EP on Spotify (it's super short), their second on Bandcamp (also super short) and if you end up having a gap in your schedule at the show, go see them play.

So I've lived in Michigan my whole life and somehow this will be my first Bled Fest. How many stages/what are the set times normally like? I'm mainly going for La Dispute and Bear vs. Shark.

it's good, but like, i don't know why anyone would travel for this really? like all the bands on here that are good tour regularly enough with each other or whatever that it's pretty cheap to see them all throughout a year, though if i was in the area i would go definitely.

    good bands:

    bear vs shark
    cayetana
    chris farren
    del paxton
    diet cig
    IIOI
    koji
la dispute if they weren't playing just that one bad album mostly
    nnamdi
    pet sym
    petal
    pwr bttm
    ratboys
    slingshot dakota
    spill
    tancred
    wildhoney

like that's a fine lineup. a few bands i wouldn't miss at a show ever. but nothing eye opening

Anyone have a link to the Island of Misfit Toys situation? I can't find much on it.

Not a tour but Cayetana / Diet Cig / Petal / Slingshot Dakota are playing Mahalls in Cleveland the day before Bled.

Pretty stoked on that especially because it opens up more bands that I don't have to choose between conflicts at Bled

If anyone is curious about this, there's just a lot of bad stuff coming to light in Michigan DIY at the moment. Nate is doing a very good job of sticking to the goal Fusion set out this year and trying to make their shows safe, diverse, and inclusive.

Thanks for sharing. Was going to ask why they're off. Glad to see Fusion doing the right thing here.

Yeah, when I heard about it, I chatted with Nate via email and has been really great about it.

One month. In one month we transform an old high school into a music festival. In one month we build a stage in a cafeteria, cover the edges with foam, and hope y'all don't get your knees and shins destroyed. In one month we set up PA's in classrooms and hallways. In one month a couple thousand of y'all join us for one of the best days of the year.

If you've been to BLED FEST before, you know exactly what we're talking about. You know the vibe. You know how hectic it can be, and how fun the day is. But if you haven't been, you're probably wondering, "What the heck is BLED FEST??"

BLED FEST is NOT your typical music festival. We started in a basement, moved to a backyard, spent a year at a skate park, and then began setting up shop in the Hartland Performing Arts Center -- where we've been for the last ten years. It is a LOT of work to get that building ready for how zany BLED FEST is, but it's home, and we love our home.

    So what can you expect?

You can expect a feeling of community. You can expect to connect with friends, and to make new ones. You can expect impassioned performances from some of your favorite artists. You can expect to feel like yourself, and you can expect to feel embraced for who you are. You can expect to sing, scream, and sweat. You can expect to run around like mad trying to catch all the sets you want to see. You can expect memories and moments you'll never forget. You can expect to feel tired-as-hell by the end of the day. You can expect one of the best days of your life.

And we can't wait to share it with you.

    One month, y'all.
