Seems like odd setlist sequencing but solid actual song choices

Whole set ruled imo. Don’t Go Dark was the primary song I was referring to energy wise, though HDYWM took a bit to get going too. Secret Life benefitted a lot from being live as far as new stuff went.

they played basically everything I wanted to here except 45 and Mickey mantle. Would have definitely traded the middle cover out for one but alas.

Had an absolute blast last night. Bleachers live shows are unparalleled. I do kinda agree the covers + some of the slower songs killed a little momentum, but it was more of a minor gripe for me than anything that ruined the show.

Wish we would’ve got 45 and maybe even What’d I Do With All This Faith in place of the slower coversx Just Can’t Get Enough was fun though.

I think the new songs were fantastic. They came to life the way I hoped, especially Secret Life and How Dare You Want More. It was very worth making the trip out.

This sounds like you've only ever been to the Summer Stage.

Show in NYC tonight was phenomenal. I thought they sounded fantastic and the new songs translated incredibly well in a live setting

I do also love how the songs came out on the album so I may not be the best judge of that haha

When I could hear them, they sounded great. I don't think I've ever been at a concert before where I wanted the entire band to be louder, but this was definitely one (I guess it's more or less exactly in line with the approach to the album). From middle center, the crowd was louder than the band for a good chunk of the show. The setlist was really solid (even if he wasn't willing to give "August" a shot). I hadn't seen them since before Gone Now, so I was happy to have so much of that album included.

I did really hope they'd let the new songs be a little bigger live, but they were pretty true to the recordings. "Stop Making This Hurt" is still the only one that really feels like the best version of the song to me.

Show in NY was amazing, if just not loud enough.

Side note: If anyone is going to an upcoming show, I regret not buying the ringer tee and I’d pay extra + shipping if someone would pick me up a medium!

Did anyone else get the slip with the link for the limited vinyl last night? I filled out the form, but don't know what happens now haha.

I still really like this album, and honestly, my only complaint is how abruptly it loses steam after 45. Stranger Behavior and What'd I Do... are fine songs, but their placement together at the end of the album just doesn't work for me.

This is how I feel as well, only I think I am a little more lukewarm on those last two songs than you are.

Yeah easily the worst two songs on the record and if I'm being honest, two of the weakest across the three albums. The grimes song is the only one off the top of my head I'd say is definitively lesser.

Take Me Away is good and Entropy is better.

Whoa never heard Entropy before now, but ya this is great. Take Me Away....eh. I've admittedly updated my opinion from 'this song absolutely huffs' to 'I can tolerate three minutes of this on an otherwise spotless album', but it just does nothing for me.

I admittedly don't understand the point of the false ending of Take Me Away, but I like that song a lot. The techno scream sound is really cool

Has anyone from the NYC show heard anything about the tour vinyl?

That came out like two hours before doors, which really stunk. My wife and I had sitters lined up already, so we drove to St. Pete just to see what was up. They were giving out free copies of the tour vinyl to anyone who still showed up at the venue, so that was a nice consolation prize. We rented electric scooters and drove them to the pier for a nice, quiet dinner. It wound up being a nice night all in all, but I’m still disappointed even if I get it. I hope I can get tickets when they come back next year to make up for it, because this show sold out pretty early and they just refunded all the tickets this time around.

damnnnn, that's a huge bummer. Unfortunately it's the right move, but really sorry that happened so soon before doors for you. At least you made the best of it!!

anyone who has been to tour know what time they've been going on? I haven't been to a show in a while and forget how to find set times hah

If I remember correctly they went on at 9pm in Boston

I went up to the box office before doors on my way to meeting a friend for drinks and they had set times available there.

solid intel! I was guessing with doors at 7 it'll be Claud at 8 and Bleachers at 9, so it sounds like that is about right!
