theres a song i love called at my most beautiful. an r.e.m. song written from what to me is the least cynical place i have heard. makes me think of what lives through this. cynicism doesnt play. no space for it. and in ways it never does outside of a short moment when culture reflects on itself in real time.

heres what i do know - i miss you. ive played every show in my life like there was no tomorrow. i have never known an ounce more. however things change and grow. and now there is a little more. that piece that grows when the thing you love is taken from you. here we are. i cant do the thing that i need to do for a little bit. so i pull back the arrow … pull back the arrow ….. more tension then ever before .. more tension than i knew was possible. and when its time to come back….. i dont even know the level that will be. thats what keeps me from losing it. that’s just my little world - but the point is if we can make it through we are headed for something thrilling. generally culture couldn’t get much lower, and i have believed for a long time that we have been headed to a better place. but now a boulder has been put on that gas pedal. we have nowhere left to go but what is true. the future is here and we’re bored to death. nothing beats a great album. nothing beats seeing the band do what they do. nothing beats actually being in the world. so thats the good news: its gonna come up roses if we can get through it. so lets…

more formal update. im almost done with bleachers 3rd album. and i will not hold it until the perfect time. you are here and you deserve it. im putting all the final touches and getting the world of it in order. making it so you can come on in and not have it be too messy to walk around in…. but messy enough ... you know.

and another thing, I love my crew. love them to death. to me and the guys in the band our crew are family and an unshakable force that lets us be what we are. they work their asses off to create a world where we can put on the best show we have in us. no sleep, no fucking problem for this team. I’ve seen them countless times overcome some crazy shit to and pull off a show. they love this band and the fans to the max…. so….. i want to honor them in this time when work is scarce. with this all in mind here are bleachers HQ we made the “BLEACHERS CREW PACK”. t shit, water bottle, bumper sticker and patch. ALL proceeds go directly to the crew. plus myself and other members of the bleachers team will match that number. lets bring christmas to these guys NOW when they need it most. cant wait to wear my bleachers crew pack with major pride. basically, bleachers is cool but bleachers crew is that actual shit. It says "full lineup revealed [in] 2020" because tickets went on sale in 2019.

Yes, this is obvious now. When it says "Full lineup revealed 2020" is he saying that the full lineup for the 2021 festival will be revealed in 2020? If so, that's confusing because...it's 2020 now.

Sorry you're totally right it's not confusing it just confused me because I'm dumb.

 

It's not new text. It's said that since tickets went on sale in 2019. They were encouraging people to buy tickets to Shadow in the City in advance, even though the lineup wasn't out yet. But they were promising that the full lineup would be revealed in 2020. It will probably be released in the fall at this point.

 

Ah now that is an answer that makes sense.

 

Anybody have an idea on what Jack has been working on/producing, besides Bleachers, recently? He's on an Insta live right now and refused to divulge any info, hahaha
